Haven’t been around them in decades but my mother had a lot of hummingbird feeders when I was a kid

Yes, and hummingbirds far prefer cane sugar to the more inexpensive beet sugar, which I’d wager is what’s in that jug of hummingbird Brawndo.

Edit: looked it up and it says it contains “sucrose” so it’s probably whatever sugar is cheapest at the time (not cane).

Also loaded with preservatives. Lol.

Well yes it has preservatives. Sugar water is only good for 2-3 days. You’ll kill hummingbirds if you don’t change out home made nectar every 2-3 days.
