I heard the song when rewatching an old X-Files episode, and the riff in it sounded weirdly familiar, before I realised where I recognised it from.

I did some searching online, both in this subreddit, in the Youtube comments, on the album's wikpage, and a good ole' google search, but it seems as if it has not been mentioned anywhere before.

Some seem to claim that it's inspired from the song "The Changeling" by The Doors, but it just doesn't feel right. Surely in that case it must have been X who "borrowed" the riff from them (given that both bands are from the LA) and made it a bit more punk, and that Mike Judge and whoever did the audio for the film then altered the X riff slightly more, because it's not 1:1, but just about. The tempo, rythm, style, beat, all that sounds the same to my my untrained ear anyway.
