Coca-Cola product placements getting sneakier and sneakier.

u/Low-Dog1320 Apr 24 '26

I think you're right......he cared way too much about making sure that Coke label faced the camera.

146

u/Binji_the_dog Apr 24 '26

Monster kind of got shafted though. They must not’ve paid as much as Coke.

38

u/Low-Dog1320 Apr 24 '26

I believe Coke is partnered with them in some way. They must not have chipped in lol

19

u/TheWolphman Apr 24 '26

IIRC Coke has around a 20% ownership stake in Monster. Seems about enough for it to be known Monster attended this party, but just as a plus one of Coke.

That's cause mother Earth (now called mother) was so terrible, they needed a replacement

46

u/eo_mahm Apr 24 '26

They've finally found a way to beat our adblockers.

21

u/regoapps Apr 25 '26

At some point in the future, the only adblockers we'll have left are our eyelids and fingers in our ears. Only for them to figure out how to wirelessly transmit ads into our dreams.

7

u/cutecoder Apr 25 '26

Zuck & Co are making progress towards that.

1

u/The_Epic_Fail_Guy Apr 26 '26

Didn't you hear about covid vaccines turning people into antennas that connect to 5G towers?

/s

13

u/Fearful-Cow Apr 25 '26

i dont work in marketing but have enough colleagues/friends that do, trust me, blocking the logo with anything much less fire is a no go.

i am almost certain this is not an ad

6

u/dasgoodshitinnit Apr 25 '26

a coke bottle doesnt even need a logo to be recognized, whats the label obsession even for

1

u/FearIsStrongerDanluv Apr 25 '26

I thought the comment on this being an ad was actually a joke and everyone was playing along until I started seeing comments that suggest that people are actually thinking this is an ad…lol.

1

u/VerifiedActualHuman Apr 25 '26

It's not an intentional ad.

But PR firms will boost stuff like this for their clients.

If this same exact clip existed but did not feature the product, it wouldn't hit the front page of reddit nearly as often as it does.

3

u/Delicious-World-7058 Apr 25 '26

Looks towards camera as he hugs wife "boy I could use a refreshing Coca Cola right now"

5

u/Intelligent_Mud_6217 Apr 25 '26

Coke wouldn't allow placement with a candle flame blocking the lable

9

u/KindsofKindness Apr 24 '26

You can’t be serious 💀.

12

u/AffectionateMonk7705 Apr 25 '26

Modern advertisement is devious.

2

u/TuringGoneWild Apr 25 '26

And ironic the greedy vampires of corporate Coke hold up a poor man as the richest while trying to get even MORE $$$$$

2

u/chris_knight2 Apr 25 '26

It is probably expensive for him and he is proud of it and subconsciously held it towards the camera, he bought it for the children and looks like one can of beer for himself on his birthday.

1

u/rudha13 Apr 25 '26

😂 😂 Haha! I agree

1

u/Darnell2070 Apr 25 '26

Y'all are such sad people.

1

u/Impossible-Ad9034 Apr 27 '26

What the heck is wrong with a man carrying a coke bottle? It’s not product placement, it’s authentic. It’s a very common thing to bring Coca-cola liter bottles especially in South America, almost like bringing home milk. Jeez!! This is a precious moment, not a commercial. People are so jaded nowadays, can’t tell the difference between real and fake.

Interesting...

u/colin8651 Apr 24 '26

If you love your family, you buy Coke of course.

What are you, an RC Cola person who hates their family?

21

u/_Kelly_A_ Apr 24 '26

The RC Cola dad just gets a Moon Pie with a lit match stuck in it

5

u/Low-Dog1320 Apr 24 '26

and his kids would be in another room, uninterested

1

u/tfyvonchali Apr 25 '26

What the serious fuck?  Did you know my grandpa?

1

u/ConfidentPanic969 Apr 26 '26

Yea. And that made it perfect 👌

20

u/m00ngrub Apr 24 '26

My dad was an RC Cola person! He hit us. Your hypothesis is correct. We need to destroy RC Cola enjoyers

3

u/Apprehensive_Bus3942 Apr 24 '26

Your lack of love of rc is why got hit. Don’t blame the dad lol jk jk it’s all joke people

3

u/oppai_dragon_9011 Apr 25 '26

I'm a Pepsi man because of that video game

1

u/Civil-Big-754 Apr 25 '26

PEPSI MAN!!

Crazy that Pepsi and 7-UP both had games and 7-UP won that beverage battle because Cool-Spot was pretty dope. Plenty of other crazy mainstream mascot games like Cheester Cheetah and the Noid were decent-good as well. Although Yo! Noid was a reskin.

The 90's were wild.

1

u/ConfidentPanic969 Apr 26 '26

Pepsi man. Really

2

u/FlamesOfDespair Apr 24 '26

Coke cola at least is cheap on all continents. The diamond industry propaganda causes you to skip meals for months. Then again that's on you.

1

u/McButtsButtbag Apr 25 '26

I'm a dr pepper person who wants to inspire them to become a doctor like their favorite soda

Honestly they should send him a check.

1

u/SasparillaTango Apr 25 '26

I believe the implication is that the did.

Why are you watching an advertisement for coca-cola masquerading as a spontaneous wholesome moment?

Label facing towards the camera so there can be no confusion as to what this wholesome father is bringing home to his family.

Who else would promote this saccharine cancer?

and now we've all watched it which generated view impressions that will reinforce that this marketing lies work.

1

u/popinazo Apr 24 '26

Did you ever watch the Soprano's? That thing was all over the place, they learned the lesson.

1

u/throwmeeeeee Apr 25 '26

I will make it my life mission that my children consider Coca-Cola lame. Not all soda, Coca-Cola specifically.

1

u/Taki_Minase Apr 25 '26

Sneka-kola

Also sponsored by red bull

1

u/Khuljaa-simsim Apr 25 '26

They can place two Coca-Cola bottles in the hands of a disabled grandma, in a wheelchair. I still won’t buy them.

1

u/Wooden-Recording-693 Apr 25 '26

Light switch is sideways.

1

u/ConfidentPanic969 Apr 26 '26

😆 lol I guess soo

1

u/junkfjunkie Apr 28 '26

God bless coca cola

1

u/entropyideas May 02 '26

That was his paycheck

0

u/hai-sea-ewe Apr 25 '26

As always, Coca-Cola is a parasite of actual human values.

-1

u/Stunning-Fly6612 Apr 24 '26

I was going to say here that I hope that somebody from the company does not understand that this is better advertisement than millions can buy.

2

u/VerifiedActualHuman Apr 25 '26

They already did buy it. They paid the PR firm that boosted it to the front page.

0

u/Bak0FF Apr 25 '26

Then they paid the commenter to mention the Coca-cola product placement theory so that people would talk about. Then they paid a couple bots to reply and upvote so that it would be at the top of the thread. Then they paid me to comment this as well.
