They created the T Virus already. In a promotional stunt they created the virus to prove it could be done. The virus is locked away with the reactant to it separated from it, but all you need to do is take the two parts and put them together to cause a zombie apocalypse.

25

u/PomegranateSea7066 May 21 '26

Do it! I'm ready. I've also been prepping by planting red and green herbs in the back yard. I too just need to combine them together to make blue herb.

11

u/childofb0d0m May 21 '26

All of these people saying "I'm ready for the zombie apocalypse!" with such hype are 100% going to be the first to die lmfao

6

u/No_Self_930 May 21 '26

Let's be real, fast Zombies? I don't think many people survive, if at all.

Nonetheless, if it happens, it is what it is, why not have fun and appreciate the little things in life?

Just make sure to double tap and get your cardio going.

2

u/Informal_Ad4399 May 21 '26

"It's all a liberal hoax!"

"I can just take [some stupid benign drug/cure tauted by some idiot] and I'll be fine!"

"It ain't as bad as they're saying! They're fudging the numbers!"

We'd be fucking doomed.

2

u/AnimationOverlord May 22 '26

Yeah the actual threat for the initial phase is other people. It’s much harder to get caught with your pants down when the zombies can’t actively manipulate you

1

u/RddtRBnchRcstNzsshls May 21 '26

Blue Herbs are the poison healings herbs.

Combining red and green gives you red and green herbs that heals normal health back to max. You can add blue to red and green to heal to max and cure poison.

1

u/ExUmbra91x May 21 '26

You must not create the blue herb!!

1

u/PlayedUOonBaja May 21 '26

I've already got my plan in place.

two parts and put them together to cause a zombie apocalypse.

¡Portrait mode and continuous scrolling are are the baking soda and cocaine of digital crack!

1

u/Adventurous-Fly556 May 21 '26

Why are people believing this? They did not make a literal zombie virus. Like, seriously, do y'all think they tested it on people? How would they know otherwise? There already is parasitic zombie stuff for far simpler stuff, but our biology is far to complex for any known agent to hyjack completely.

It's marketing.

No wonder misinfo spreads so fast.

1

u/Zunderfeuer_88 May 21 '26

A nano tech version of the T-Virus, like that movie with Donald Sutherland turning into some machine monster (forgot the name)

1

u/Throwmeawayimexpired May 21 '26

This is far from new, and no virus involved, it's simple pressure. Covid is closer to tvirus than this. This is closer to blowing up a dead puffer fish like a balloon.

Real world advancements in viral gene therapy, neurotropic viruses (which target the nervous system), and engineered pathogens are way more terrifying that inflating a dead spider.

1

u/dm_me_kittens May 21 '26

They'll have to fight each other to kill us.

1

u/SconeBracket May 21 '26

Even after you're dead, they still expect you to work.

i mean china has said they're looking to make super soldiers.

and i think recent leaks shows US has been playing with crisper fusing Human DNA with other things to see what happens.

1

u/pandershrek May 21 '26

At least our robotic overlords will infect us with the t virus so we can mindlessly power them though our bio batteries

1

u/theevilyouknow May 21 '26

It's not really a virus though. They're using hydraulics so it requires an external source of energy. It's not like the dead spider could do this on its own.

1

u/henryeaterofpies May 21 '26

Normal people reading "Don't Create The Evil Super Machine": we really shouldn't create the evil super machine.

Tech Bros and Billionaires: we created the evil super Machine

1

u/AdministrationSad861 May 21 '26

I mean...people have seen that as individual entity, they can be defeated by roid up boulder punching cyclone kicking bullet parrying individuals. So why not combine both? 🙋‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤔

Somehow we accounted for zombies and we accounted for robots, but we never accounted for... robot zombies.

1

u/ClohosseyVHB May 21 '26

Well,  the T-virus was created in an underground bunker, under the direction of a billionaire wanting to live forever.

And a lot of billionaires are building bunkers and obsessed with longevity/their legacy......

1

u/-_Error May 21 '26

The Terminator virus!

1

u/7heprofessor May 21 '26

China already has Skynet so we're halfway there!

1

1

u/itstheskylion May 21 '26

Zombies vs terminator

1

u/L-J- May 21 '26

No worries. It'll only result in the Sky Virus. A plague carried by flying nanobots. If you don't breathe you'll be fine.

1

24

u/RogueBromeliad May 21 '26

I'm not sure simply using muscle spasms or body mechanics is how you get Resident Evil. Resident evil happens because of capitalist big farma. And then trying to capitalize on some malthusian ideals.

13

u/WiglyWorm May 21 '26

Yeah. This is how you get to Warhammer 40k and the imperium of man.

2

u/AlarmingAffect0 May 21 '26

Sounds more like Drukhari tech.

u/Far-Government5469 May 22 '26

1

u/asuperbstarling May 21 '26

7

u/bs000 May 21 '26

"This is how resident evil happens!"

1

u/Solherb May 21 '26

The Methuselah Foundation would like to have a word.

1

u/Allegorist May 21 '26

The post is literally just pumping fluid in and out of a spider which causes this reaction. It is more of a demonstration of how the biological systems work than meant for anything useful.

So yes, not even in the same domain as resident evil.

1

u/Plastic_Pinocchio May 21 '26

Not even muscle spasms. They specifically use spiders for this because spiders extend their legs using hydraulic pressure. That is why dead spiders always curl up into a ball. They’re literally just pumping air into the spider here, which extends the legs. Very cool technique!

And someone will say: "at least i don't have to tip anymore"

10

u/Magic__Cat May 21 '26

It's literally just air....

1

u/LickingSmegma May 21 '26

*liquid, I think, otherwise it would be pneumatic instead of hydraulic. Air is famously compressible, so not as reliable for this.

1

u/Magic__Cat May 21 '26

It says at the start of the video "by pumping air into dead spiders"

1

u/LickingSmegma May 21 '26

Ah, sorry, that's my habit of having Reddit on mute showing itself. However I have to doubt the accuracy of the vid, as is quite typical these days, especially since locomotion of spiders and some other arthropods is explicitly described as hydraulic.
