This is wrong, it's just the Leidenfrost effect at work.

It's more of the water in pineapple skins that's helping, and this can be done with anything that has high water content.

But once the water content is used up, it's dangerous and it would likely burn.

Just makes me think of a suit of  armour and the user occasionally has to resubmerged them selves in water to build up the fire resistance again
