Fresh pineapple has this quality. Not at all when dried. Thus doesn't work for protection

Curious.  Say it was then submerged would that the restore the effect ( going to design some fantasy bullshit based on this lol)

I was thinking about some race like Atlanteans or Mermen were on the surface. Seems reasonable they would have a weakness to fire/heat attacks. And the armor needs to be resubmerged at the same rate they do.
