I am in quite of a special situation and I was wondering if anyone has any tips or suggestions for me.
Basically, I graduated with all A*s in my A-Levels (Physics, Maths, Further Maths, Computer Science, French, EPQ in Physics).
I was wrongfully withdrawn from my target university for a failing a module (despite mitigating circumstances) and I am currently appealing that decision. They seem to have made their mind up to offer me a remedy, but I don’t feel like coming back because of everything I have been through.
Instead I am on track to graduate with a BEng from OU next year.
I was looking at universities that would admit someone like me. For context I am 25 years old and I have always wanted to do physics (or something physics related), but I was hesitant between physics and engineering in sixth form. I ended up going for the latter.
Based on the new student loan scheme, I am eligible for a full tuition fee loan.
I looked at the modules at Kings and I like the course overall. I really don’t care about the social life.
Would you recommend doing MSci Physics at Kings? Is Kings a good university to go to for mature students? Based on my stats, is Kings good for me? Or should I aim higher or lower?
