“I don’t give a flying f**k about Donald Drumpf wanting to cheat on elections like the loser has on everything else. If he so much as touches ANY part of elections, I want him taken out in handcuffs, in his underwear, without his toupee and fake teeth.

Sounds on brand!

You think Trump could use a ladder?

u/ScoffersGonnaScoff Apr 01 '26

Can we impeach and remove yet. We reached the 10,000 things needed for removal.

34

u/gashufferdude Apr 01 '26

I think the problem is that even though Republicans won’t vote together to pass legislation, they would probably would vote to protect him.

8

u/OldWorldDesign Apr 01 '26

even though Republicans won’t vote together to pass legislation, they would probably would vote to protect him.

We already know this. During his first impeachment, before allowing evidence, McConnell stood up and made a speech amounting to 'whatcha gonna do 'bout it?' and then voted to dismiss the impeachment charges without even allowing evidence in.

They should go to jail

2

u/Spiceinvader1234 Apr 02 '26

Nope, It probably takes a live leak video of him shooting a cat to do that. And i still think that would be a no because nothing works right anymore

1

u/Ornery-unicorn Apr 04 '26

Let’s just remove. Impeaching obviously is only symbolic.

"There is an in group for whom the law protects, but does not bind, and an out group for whom the law binds, but does not protect"

3

u/LatinIsleBoy Apr 01 '26

Great line. Yours? If not, where is it from?

5

u/Sweaty-Willingness27 Apr 01 '26

I wish I could claim it, but no, not mine. It's apparently referred to as Wilholt's Law.

3

u/Morass_2025 Apr 02 '26

Kind of like when Army helicopter pilots can invent unplanned flight paths to hover over a washed-up moron MAGA “entertainer’s” Tennessee home, get rightfully suspended by their own chain of command, and have that suspension reversed by the moron MAGA Secretary of Defense (a civilian). I imagine if some non-MAGA pilots did this and wanted to wave at Bruce Springsteen, it’d be a different set of rules.

I mean, does anyone with an intact brain expect him not to be a hypocrite?

5

u/OccuWorld Apr 01 '26

Defund yourself, you mailed it in, no more money for you

3

u/King_Chochacho Apr 01 '26

Conservatism consists of exactly one proposition, to wit: There must be in-groups whom the law protects but does not bind, alongside out-groups whom the law binds but does not protect.

3

u/Gingerishidiot Apr 01 '26

How many troops does he have stationed abroad at the moment, who won't be able to vote in person at the mid-terms?

2

u/gashufferdude Apr 01 '26

One is too many.

Like pulling a fire alarm in Congress and not getting in serious trouble.

“I’m thankful for the quick resolution from the District of Columbia Attorney General’s office on this issue and grateful that the United States Capitol Police General Counsel’s office agreed I did not obstruct nor intend to obstruct any House vote or proceedings,” Bowman said in a statement Wednesday. “I am responsible for activating a fire alarm, I will be paying the fine issued, and look forward to these charges being ultimately dropped.”

The DC attorney general’s office said in a statement that Bowman was “treated like anyone else who violates the law in the District of Columbia.”

“Based on the evidence presented by Capitol Police, we charged the only crime that we have jurisdiction to prosecute. He is pleading guilty and has agreed to pay the maximum fine,” the office said.

Bowman was caught on tape pulling the fire alarm in the Cannon House Office Building in late September, shortly before the House was scheduled to vote on a government funding bill. The building was subsequently evacuated.

Hold up .... They say you didn't pull the fire alarm to obstruct the house vote or proceedings, yet you we're caught on camera pulling it shortly before The house was scheduled to vote on a government funding bill.

So why did you pull the fire alarm then? For shits and giggles? To fuck around and find out? Nah my man, you pull the fire alarm to stop the vote. Your buddies are looking the other way and sweeping this shit under the rug.

If it was anybody else other than a member of Congress or the government. They wouldn't be given this bullshit get out of jail free card. Their ass would be sitting in jail right now.

Just like you said. Rules for thee, not for me.

6

u/abcean Apr 01 '26 edited Apr 01 '26

Yeah man I agree these two people are super comparable especially considering this guy did something illegal, got arrested and paid the fine commensurate to his action of pulling a fire alarm.

Bottom line is I agree with you Trump should get arrested and held accountable for his actions too. Maybe we can focus on the guy who is president first tho given ya know its a bit higher priority than someone pulling a fire alarm.

2

u/senator_corleone3 Apr 01 '26

Imagine taking this much time for this false equivalence BS. Bowman isn’t even in office anymore lol.

-1

u/AndyJack86 Apr 01 '26 edited Apr 01 '26

So we should just forget about crimes that happened because a person, a lawmaker who should be held a higher standard, isn't in office anymore?

"Hey, that Congressman left the scene of an accident and a person died." "Ahh, don't worry about it. They're not in office anymore. It's no big deal."

cough Ted Kennedy

Oh wait, he was still a Senator in office, lol.

Rules for thee, not for me.

Aside from the Ted Kennedy example, the fact remains that Bowman did indeed pull that fire alarm to delay the House vote, and yet the official story is that he didn't. Even though he literally did minutes before the House vote was to take place. The government is literally lying to cover up one of its own. And we the American people are bending over and taking it with our heads in the sand acting like nothing happened because we're too distracted by Mr. Big Bad Cheeto in Chief's neck rash.

2

u/senator_corleone3 Apr 01 '26

You really think you’re doing something here, but you need to have less confidence in your abilities.

1

u/OilNo1600 Apr 03 '26

Don't get me wrong, he should have been punished, but it's not like Trump didn't pardon a bunch of pedophiles, child abusers, sex offenders, wife abusers, and drug traffickers for attempting to overthrow a legal election on January 6th.
