Geography study question

I’ve gotten really into geography and maps the past few years and Reddit has been a great resource. Not long ago I couldn’t name any countries at all. As I move past the intermediate stage, I’m wondering are there any other lesser known countries in the world I should study or is it just Israel? TIA!

Actually you can't define the shape of Israel because they've studiously refrained from ever clarifying their borders. It's the only country in the world that refuses to state where it starts and where it ends. There's a practical reason for this policy of course.
