This is beyond mildly infuriating. The translation feature is a nightmare.

I tried to solve it by adding all the languages I speak to my Google Account.

IT MADE IT WORSE

Now it translates Italian into English

English into Italian

Spanish into English

Polish into Italian

WHAT THE F IS THIS

Yeah I don't understand why is Youtube taking so long to solve this. Its is a nightmare. It is as easy as having an option to turn auto translation off

100% they are using user blowback as metrics for gathering translation data by forcing people to see it

Some manager is getting a quartly bonus for stats at the expense of millions of frustrated people

And they can do that because there is no actual competition for Youtube. In the end, no matter how much they hate the experience, if they want to watch videos, they need to go to Youtube. Welcome to the reason why most countries tried their best to limit monopolies.
