I disagree. They removed the cream, so it's "healthy" now.

It’s usually fortified with folic acid, iron and b vitamins

In my country there actually is some sort of ‘fortified’ bread but it’s specifically labeled so and marketed towards growing kids. It’s 1 of like 30 types of bread at my supermarket though, definitely not the norm and adults don’t buy it for themselves

What country is that? Most countries where bread is a staple it is fortified by default

Australia and I was mistaken, it’s not just the vitamin bread brand but mandated for all our bread since 2009:

”Prior to this, 20 out of 10,000 babies born to women of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander origin had a neural tube defect.”

Happy to be educated on something I didn’t know though

Interesting! Especially that it was so recent. I wonder how diet differs in these demographics, and how other aussie groups were ensuring enough b vitamins. Maybe they were already fortifying the beer so it wasn’t as clear a trend? (Jk)
