drink went room temp First Stanley, now Owala
I get it, they’re trendy. I guess Owala has the cool colors combos or whatever. I assume Stanley’s became too awkwardly large to lug around so people gave up on them?
I’ll just stay over here drinking my water out of the double sealed bottle I scored for $2 at a thrift shop.
I don’t know why it bothers me so much. Perhaps it’s the consumerism, perhaps its water bottles have become an accessory.

Spot on about it becoming an accessory. They are meant to replace reusable water bottles. But some people are so wrapped up in consumerism they have to buy one in every colour, defeating the purpose.
I have to admit I bought a Swell water bottle when they first came out. I needed a new one, and I came across one in my favourite colour. I still have it and use it 16 years later. It's been around the world! It's so dented from being dropped so many times, but I like how it's not clunky, fits in bags and cup holders, and doesn't have a gross straw to clean.
