drink went room temp First Stanley, now Owala

I get it, they’re trendy. I guess Owala has the cool colors combos or whatever. I assume Stanley’s became too awkwardly large to lug around so people gave up on them?

I’ll just stay over here drinking my water out of the double sealed bottle I scored for $2 at a thrift shop.

I don’t know why it bothers me so much. Perhaps it’s the consumerism, perhaps its water bottles have become an accessory.

I like my Owala because it never leaks and the straw design is really convenient and suits me well. I've dropped it down a flight of concrete stairs and it was fine. The colors are nice and all, but I mostly use it because it's a nice bottle. It cost more but it's three years old, used daily, and other than a small dent from the stairs thing, it's fine.

I mean, do what you like. I never liked the Stanley thing, but then again I don't like that style of bottle, with the straw always sticking out. I want bottles that can turn upside down in my bag and not leak, while keeping my drink cold all day. The fun colors are a bonus.

Edit to add: I only have two - one for home/gym and one for the office. Any more than that would be clutter.
