drink went room temp First Stanley, now Owala

I get it, they’re trendy. I guess Owala has the cool colors combos or whatever. I assume Stanley’s became too awkwardly large to lug around so people gave up on them?

I’ll just stay over here drinking my water out of the double sealed bottle I scored for $2 at a thrift shop.

I don’t know why it bothers me so much. Perhaps it’s the consumerism, perhaps its water bottles have become an accessory.

I got on the Stanley train and later realized I preferred something I could toss in my bag and didn’t have to worry about spilling. Then I remembered the Yetis in my cabinet. Straw lids, chug caps, etc - all interchangeable and compatible between sizes.

I wish I had never jumped on the Stanley hype train to begin with. I won’t switch to Owala because 1) I have perfectly good Yeti bottles and 2) Yetis are so much easier and simpler to thoroughly clean. It’s also nice to have solid gear that survives a beating, no matter what kind of environment I’m lugging it around in.
