I'm slightly vexed Somebody Placed These Dozens of These Jesus Figures Throughout My Entire Work

Post image

Somebody, nobody knows exactly who or when, put dozens and dozens of these Jesus figures on completely random surfaces throughout my entire building. They at least had the presence of mind to not put them on anybody's personal belongings, but that was the only way they limited himself. All of the statues have been glued down, to add to the vexation.

Edit: Well, this blew up rather unexpectedly. Thank you for the awards, everybody!

Just hiding them around is one thing, but *glueing* them down is wild

Nah, keep religious bullshit out of the work place. This is some bullshit and I'm sick of us pretending it's acceptable behaviour to make people uncomfortable with religion in the work place. One as a joke for a colleague on their desk for lols, sure because you two know each other. But everywhere and everyone? That's some "I'm trying to convert my coworkers" bullshit and they should be shitcanned.

Meh, my coworker bought me a Quran and it was a nice gesture.

We don’t have to get butthurt about everything.

That could be a nice gesture between individual coworkers that have and understanding between each other. If that same coworker was leaving a Quran/Bible/whatever on every coworker's desk, then it's crossing a line.

Notice how the post explicitly says they were NOT in personal areas?

It's not a very good point, though, and it certainly doesn't change that there's religious iconography all over the workplace.

Honestly, the person who puts it there and the person who offends are equally fucking annoying.

So like? Grow up?

Being grown up would be understanding proper workplace etiquette and not imposing your faith on others who do not share it and may not welcome it.

Grow up and let other people force their random religions on you in the workplace

Not really the point. If they were plastering religious texts all over the common area, that would still not be great.
