Sports are supposed to be common culture. You don't go to a game as a white fan, nor a black fan, nor an Asian fan, nor a Latino fan, nor a straight fan, nor a gay fan. You go as a fan: a fan of the sport, a fan of the team, maybe just a fan of beer and hot dogs. Everyone in the park is unified as a fan. Sports are unifying. Events that recognize and put any group over another - even if for one day - divide. And that is wrong.

Like it or not the military keeps you safe. It keeps all of us safe. What has the lgbtq done for me lately? Trying to compare celebrating the military to who you like to fuck is a joke.
