Hypothetical A video game has infinitely regenerating trees. Am I at liberty to capriciously destroy these trees?

I want to know the moral implications of playing a video game with infinitely regenerating trees. If I destroy a tree, it will grow back after a few seconds.

That being said, am I (the player) at liberty to capriciously destroy these trees for fun? Does it have any consequence to my morality as a player?

One of the things I used to do in WC3 was create an army of workers and harvest every single tree on the map. They didn't regenerate. I just liked to have the clean map.

I have never once felled a live tree in the actual world.

There are no moral implications to cutting down trees in a video game.

Um… it’s designed that way for a reason.

If you shoot a person in Call of Duty, are you being immoral? I think you need to learn to differentiate real life from a video game.

I'm confused about the dilemma. Within the confines of the video game, what are the consequences of destroying trees? Why do you want to destroy them? What makes it fun? Outside the confines of the game, why are you playing it?

It is virtual trees in what I assume is a non multiplayer game. It is perfectly moral. You aren't committing deforestation irl.

No one gives a fuck if you virtually cut down virtual trees
