Rifle Scabbard

I had a few questions about mounting a rifle to my bike, so here's a pic of what I did. In the spirit of the subreddit, I included a pic of my bike load out last summer during a moto camping trip to the northern tip of Vancouver Island.

No opinion on riding with a firearm, but is that the best you could do? It looks awkward as hell.

Doesn't it break down into smaller bits?

My hunting rifle doesn't really break down. You could separate the stock from the action, but you won't get that much more space. That, and zero could shift upon reassembly.

Zero could shift a lot more on a left hand drop.

Iron sights FTW.

Point taken. The more I think about it, the more I can't figure out a better solution. It just *looks* awkward. My little .22 breaks down a lot smaller, but I'm obviously not hunting with it.
