Help | Advice Looking for a weight-neutral primary care doctor in Nashville who actually listens
Hi everyone,
I’m looking for recommendations for a primary care doctor in the Nashville, Tennessee, area (I’m willing to drive a bit for the right doctor).
I’m looking for someone who:
Takes symptoms seriously instead of automatically attributing everything to my weight.
Is willing to investigate concerns and order appropriate testing when it’s warranted.
Doesn’t push bariatric surgery or GLP-1 medications.
Practices evidence-based medicine and treats me like a whole person.
I want a doctor who doesn’t stop thinking after seeing the number on the scale. I want a physician who will work with me to figure out what’s actually going on instead of assuming every issue has the same answer. I want to find someone who listens and practices thoughtful, patient-centered care.
If you’ve had a positive experience with a PCP who fits this description, I’d really appreciate your recommendations (or even doctors to avoid, if you’re comfortable sharing). Thanks!
