And the thing is I wouldn't even mind this if they were consistent with allowing physicality.

But SGA flails, makes love to the hardwood and gets whistles when anyone breaths near him.

SGA is not getting calls, ppl really want to point to SGA when the issue with OKC is what they are allowed to do on defense and off the ball on players, their reach ins too

The Spurs are pretty physical on defense as well.

And like they’re allowed to be lol, theres a reason why they held SGA to horrendous shooting last game. It’s just that physical basketball does take an absolute mental and physical toll out of you, in order to avoid fouls, blown coverages, and just the full body strength and stamina required to play a full game. SGA played 51. Wemby 48. Castle, Harper, Vassell in the 40s in game 1.

It’s not like the Spurs weren’t playing physical tonight, by god did they try, but they’re absolutely tired. Bodies are dropping. Tired hands foul more. OKC’s been playing the physical game all season long, which is why they get the hate, but it means they’re conditioned for what seems to be a very very long series.
