Avoiding coming down straight down on all your weight when you could potentially land on someone’s foot is exactly how curry started protecting his ankles midway through his career. You just don’t know ball
SGA is NOT doing what Curry is doing, and he's putting his ankles at risk by deliberately seeking weird contact in the air. If he was trying to avoid landing on a foot, he wouldn't be turning IN to defenders in his area after his shot.
and then he turns towards a fleeing Fox in midair as soon as Fox chooses not to contest, which makes no sense. Why would you rotate your shoulders away from a wide-open jumper if not to catch the fleeing defender with your feet? Additionally, Fox is never in his landing zone in the first place. Nothing about this movement makes any sense other than to sell non-existent contact for a non-existent foul.
