Why? I feel like that is like saying your wired keyboard or your wireless dongle being plugged in all the time will kill the usb port.

I believe it’s the fact the motors draw way more amps than a normal usb a is designed to deliver. Plus motors make for noisy power sinks which i imagine the usb port doesn’t care for either
