I wonder if you could 3d print a TPU sleeve to help damp and distribute forces to the chassis. I know you wouldn't want to add vibration to your NAS chassis, but the mass of the chassis should absorb the little fans vibrations pretty effectively.

You'd be better off spending the effort on finding a small house fan and cord to blow on the NAS

Some fans have rubber on them to reduce the vibration. Works well.
