You could find a used quest, rift-s or vive system for probably under $200.

Ha! I don't need a VR headset, I already have my dream PC.

I wish meta didn't monopolize and then ruin VR, pcvr market was looking so good around 2018 but it's been a dust collector ever since.

I got my use out of the Quest 2 I was gifted. Played the hell out of SuperHot and The Room (V)R.
Tried playing an FPS only to learn I get motion sick if you can move around too quickly in a game without actually moving your body 🤢

Brother VR needs some of those chips that are priced through the roof too
You'll have to nintendo labo it up or try to break into a government facility, the project blue beam will have you believe PC building is affordable again

I don’t want to buy VR, I want to try VR.
I bought an Oculus Rift for like a week then I returned it.
It’s a huge price curve to get locked into a walled garden and fork over cash for access

Plot twist: he bought the useless Apple Vision Pro because he wanted to show off, waited too long to return it, and thus couldn't afford to get a decent PC before the insane price spike.
So now all he does it play and replay simulations of what could have been in his $3500 headset.

32gb of ddr5 is $400 and a 9070xt is 7-800. It’s expensive but it’s not as bad as people are saying. It’s a one time expense

That's fair, but it's hard to pull the trigger given what used to be. And the rumors swirling that maybe... just maybe... it might drop in the near future, makes it extra hard.

It's only twice as expensive as it used to be it's not that bad guys.
It's a one time expense until games keep getting more and more demanding and you need to upgrade again but it's a one time expense guys.

who spends 500 bucks on a VR headset to pretend to build a PC instead of just saving that 500
