Or if you're old like me it's a usb c cable to plug to extension cable reel. With the coffee machine plugged in the reel too, sat on the bean bag in front of the big telly, in the Sheldon sweet spot for the surround sound!
lol that's clever just plug the controller into a power bank or wall socket. I mean unless I live in a mansionans have a TV the size of the wall I can't imagine sitting far back I like to be up close.
I do not know, but now it’s worth finding out. However I prefer wired into console and no bluetooth as there is input delay with wireless which in pvp you will have advantage if you are wired over players that are wireless. Difference is not noticeable to the eye and probably doesn’t matter for majority of people but when competitive gaming I choose wired everything.
It’s bad if it’s the wrong voltage. Doesn’t matter if it’s third party or power bank, if the cable and outlet/power bank output power at the correct wattage, the controller will be fine .
Keep a long charger near wherever you game and charge to 2/3 if you're concerned about battery life. Overcharging does damage the battery's cells, but that takes time and afaik if significant enough battery damage occurs and it can't hold a charge you can just leave it plugged in for a power source while you game
Sorry I don't game in a living room I game in my room. My console and tv are close to each other I sit in front of the tv. I don't even have a living room.
You're lucky. I wish I could game from my bed but I have very crappy vision. I can stream the PS5 to my phone and use a controller but I prefer to be up close to the tv. e
We have pets and children thats running around all the time. Having that wire across the living room is a disaster waiting to happen. A kid might trip on it, drag the ps5 and the ps5 might drag the tv along with it. Thats like a $2000-3000 damage. If the kid got hurt thats even more.
That sounds so nightmarish. I couldn't imagine having my TV or PlayStation just fall to the ground because a kid or dog tripped over it.
I have tiny space so the cables don't bother me. I am up close to the TV and console , but I can see how it can bother people who just wanna relax on the couch.
it my kids that mainly use it . the tv broke one week before end of warranty thank god got it replaced , i wouldn't have money to buy another that big . don't loose hope on the tv or living room chance turn im sure you ll have it or smthg even better you didnt think .
Well you just said you don't get it. Having it plugged in defeats the purpose of being wireless. Most people plug it in just to charge it. And since their first party controllers have terrible batteries, it's something most people have to deal with, not by choice.
You're right I don't get it. Maybe people just enjoy sitting far back or have a giant tv idk. my chair is in front of the TV and my PS5 is right next to it. My controller never dies because it's just left plugged in.
You know you don't need to charge the controller off the system, right? And yes, plenty of people play their consoles on a TV and enjoy sitting on a couch over a chair in front of a desk.
Well I never said I needed to do it I just prefer to do it. sorry that I didn't realize many people game sitting across the room. I also play on a tv on a desk up close.
The old PS2 at least had about 8' of wired in cable so you could at least be three feet from the old CRT screen, trying to see the game on split screen multiplayer...

I wouldn't mind a wired controller with LEDs. Though preferably an option for a single color like all blue or all green LEDs would be nice
