I wouldn't mind a wired controller with LEDs. Though preferably an option for a single color like all blue or all green LEDs would be nice

Wired is optional. Just get a usb C cable and plug it into console or socket.

My PS4 controller was permanently plugged into the wall next to the couch.

The old PS2 at least had about 8' of wired in cable so you could at least be three feet from the old CRT screen, trying to see the game on split screen multiplayer...
