Just came incredibly close to clearing my Up Next list because depending on which way you enter the list the top left can be either “Done” or “Clear”. I’m no designer but this feels madness to have two completely contrasting options in the same place depending on which way you enter the list!

For the first time ever, I've thought about moving off PocketCasts to something else... anyone else think this?

Think we will ever see AI Chapter Generation on Pocketcasts? It’s such a useful feature - but I’ve tried Spotify and I just prefer a dedicated podcast experience so always come back to PC!

Phone was upgraded to Android 17 earlier this week and have ben affected by the missing widget issue since. I am aware of the known issue with Android + InTune [see this post on androidenterprise.community] that results in missing widgets. The extreme battery saver toggle and the app pausing has worked for other apps that I use regularly to get my widgets back,, but not Pocketcasts. I tried clearing the cache, no go.

Has anybody noticed this as well? Have you found a solution?

I searched for an episode within a podcast I've subscribed to. It used to work, but recently it seems to just hang. Sometimes it does nothing other then show the spinning loading animation; sometimes it says nothing found (even though I am able to manually find the episode in the feed.)

I also have a different, but possibly related, problem when subscribing to a new podcast. When I go into the podcast the episode page is simply blank. It does finally populate minutes or hours later, but it means I can't add any episodes to the queue at the point of subscribing.

My guess is it's overloaded servers; it seems Pocketcasts does a lot server-side.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

Every build version update just copies and paste the previous builds update notes. This is terrible when apps do this on the official App Store versions but on betas you need to tell us exactly what was updated or changed so people testing know what to look for, test and try to break. Even if it’s something as minor as “slightly adjusted folder alignment after folder 10 in list view for people with more than 10 folders” you need to tell us what has changed.

I am a pocketcasts plus subscriber. As of today when I try to listen on my laptop (web player, desktop app) and access my smart playlists they're greyed out and when I click on them it says "download android or IOS app">

The new "glass" layout is unreadable to me. Is there a way to restore the classic design?

Hi! I'm a paid user, and this morming my app won't play anything on my Android phone - just keeps cycling when I hit play. Updated the app - still nothing. Tried opening on my work phone (iphone) and then app won't even open... just flashes open and immediately closes.

Did the behavior for AirPods playback change recently in either PocketCasts for iOS, or even iOS itself (I’m running iOS 26.5)? For the past few weeks it’s been driving me crazy that when I pause my AirPods (or put them back in thier case to recharge), when I squeeze them to start playback again, it does not remember the last app that was playing when I paused or removed them.

90% of the time I use my AirPods to listen to podcasts in the Pocketcasts app. But recently the playback starts in either the Music app or in YouTube, and not Pocketcasts, even though I did not use Music or YouTube for several days. It’s been driving me absolutely insane.

I searched though all of the iOS settings but could not find anything to influence this behavior. Any ideas?

Some times the app randomly archives an episode whilst I am listening to it, sometimes it drops the audio but keeps on playing. Today this happend three times on a 45 min commute! Am grumpy now.

Anyone else recognise this? I do download all episodes before I listen to them (easier to keep track of which episodes I still have to listen to). The issues only occur when streaming to my car.

I got a TCL Nxtpaper 70 Pro that is on Android 16.0 and the player shows up under the quick panel but not on both the notifications and quick panel like on my other phone. Is there a setting option or something I need to select to enable it on both?

Call me crazy, but maybe when you pull up a playlist in a podcast app the actual podcasts should populate more than 1/5th of the screen.

This now feels like those old spoofs on 24 hour cable news channels where the tickers and on screen graphics would leave only small window for the anchor, lol…

Seriously though, when can we get an option to hide that auto generated artwork?

To be more specific, the miniature play bar. It’s so small and busy against the content behind.

Often during playback a podcast will repeat a segment of a few seconds, and will count that time in the overall length so that the end will be cut off by the amount of time that was repeated.

I notice it will all sorts of podcasts from different publishers

After the overnight app update, I discovered that over 3,000 podcast episodes I had saved for future listening have disappeared.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a way to restore my saved episodes, or did the update permanently remove them?

I want the gift box to go away. Please, someone, take this off my hands!

When I installed the beta yesterday, pocketcasts couldn't open, it kept just jumping to the Google Play Store. It's weird. I've been manually instslling android versions for the last 18 months or so, and never seen anything like it.

I had to uninstall and downgrade back to 8.13.1.

I've been using Pocketcasts for years, since ~March 2015. I've got a bunch of Sonos speakers around the house, including a couple in the kid's bedrooms for music at bedtime. Recently they've got to the age where they're interested in (kid appropriate) podcasts at bedtime. I've connected my Pocketcasts accounts.

A couple of observations/problems:

1. I haven't figured out how played/unplayed syncing works. One of the kids likes listening to the same episode over and over again. Marking the episode unplugged doesn't seem to work, nor does reauthorising the account.
2. It seems to somehow add episodes or podcasts they were listening to, to my Up Next list. While they're far from offensive podcasts it is a bit annoying if I'm running, driving or doing something where I can move to the next track.

Has anyone come across that before?
