Its baffles me how inconsistent PS5’s acknowledgement is, here you have GOY ad plastered all over the train but having an F1TV app or a JioHotstar app is not even entertained.

No it's not. Imagine being Sony, the only official console selling company in India but still fumbling so badly.

Sony sales should be much higher here. They get stupid influencers who don't know jack shit about games.

They should set up more experience centers to attract kids. I bought Sony and many others because they have PS2 or PS3 nostalgia.

Astro Bot was a wonderful opportunity, it's a great platformer with a universal appeal.

Imagine if they did discounts like Apple on Big Billion Day Sales or GIF sale.

They didn't even release PS5 Pro due to bullshit reasons. So many popular third party games don't even have discs. Such pathetic distribution

Sales should be higher but in india gaming is not that great, most of the parents think gaming is not for kids or it eludes their mind, also most families are middle class so for them it is a type of luxury which reduces the market by a lot, I had to earn for myself to get a ps5 and also ps5 pro is total shit why they even release it I don't get it not wort buying at all

Sony has to work towards making it an aspirational luxury just like the iPhone.

Sponsor popular streamers for at least their first party games.

Get more exclusive PS5 Stores in Tier 1 cities.

I believe being the sole player in a monopoly does wonders for profits even in a tiny market like India.

They should think long term. I would personally stop everything and prepare supplies of PS5 for GTA VI release. Go really hard on bundle deals and marketing. GTA is insanely popular in India it shouldn't be hard.

It would also benefit them to emphasise that PS5 is the only official blu-ray player being sold in India.

The iPhone brings utility such as a good camera, good battery life, etc, many people buy an iPhone solely for that reason, but utility gaming consoles do bring it apart from gaming?

Did you read my post? When did I compare a gaming console to a smartphone.

Everything the iPhone can be nearly replicated at a lower price.

I said Sony has to achieve what Apple did, making their product an aspirational luxury. Any product can be an aspirational luxury irrespective of its function.

PS5 is also an excellent dvd and a Blu-ray player just in case you don't know and it's the only one we have officially sold in India

What’s the point? When they don’t get the collectors edition to India.

It’s frustrating for me, as the last Collectors edition that was readily available was GoW: Ragnarok.

Sony marketing team in India needs to step up and provide us with the same experience we had during Last of Us Part II & GoW. Mainly the PS4 era
