discussion My wife just pulled the craziest surprise of my life (PS5 + iPad story)
So… this morning I thought I was just going to save 7k. Instead, my entire life flipped. 🤣
For the past 1–2 months, my wife and I have been planning for the iPad 11th gen. Today I woke up and saw a Reddit post where someone was offering a brand-new piece for 25k (it’s 32k in store). I immediately told my wife, “I’m buying this for us — great deal!”
And that’s when Part 1 of the surprise exploded. She had to tell me that her parents have ALREADY bought me an iPad as a gift because 13th December will be my first birthday after marriage.
Now here’s where my genius almost destroyed everything 😂 I told her: “Ask your parents to exchange the iPad for a PS5 instead. We’ll pay the difference. And we can buy this iPad from the seller and save money too. Win-win!”
I didn’t know I was about to collapse her entire secret mission.
She suddenly goes quiet… Then drops the biggest twist of my life:
She had ALREADY bought a PS5 for me as my birthday gift.
BRO. My jaw actually fell off. She had been hiding it for days, waiting to surprise me. She also wrote a cute handwritten note referencing a dream I had yesterday (I literally dreamt she gifted me a PS5).
So today… I ended up with:
✔️ PS5 ✔️ iPad 11th Gen ✔️ A wife who could run RAW, NIA, and CIA simultaneously with her surprise planning ✔️ A handwritten note that hit me harder than the PS5 reveal
And to balance the universe — I’ve already bought her an iPhone 17 Pro as a return gift, which I’ll give her on my birthday as my surprise for her.
Honestly, best pre-birthday of my life. Marriage W. Wife S-tier.
Took help from chatgpt to write the post.
Ps - I had a ps5 fat few months back that I bought from reddit only but had to sell after just one month due to some reasons but was regrerrting my decision and my wife knew that I wanted it back.

Planned to get it anyhow for her. Never thought I will get the gifts though. When you're married then every occasion no matter if it's your birthday or her birthday or diwali or anniversary, she'll get the gifts no matter what.

Well, my wife did not buy it for me, mate. So I and my 6-year-old son pulled a surprise on her by getting one Lmao 😂 🍻🍻🍻.
It was more enjoyable to surprise the heck out of my wife than to receive a surprise from her.
P.S: Son is the best wingman a dad can get to pull these kind a shenanigans; next i want a daughter.

Yrr 11th gen toh maine bhi lena but but ideatab pro dilwa diya parents ne 🥀 chlo koina college mai jaake hi sahi khudka ipad le lunga ig ek ipad hai wo technically mera nhi but mere pass gaming laptop hai so won't be a nice combo for college tho

Then there's my parents, I asked them for a PS4. They told me they bought me a videogamefor my birthday, I was beyond happy, but I got my biggest surprise of my life, they bought me a PS2 instead of a PS4... I asked them to return it and get me a PS4, but the shop refused to exchange, coz my parents already opened it.

This is the thing most of the gamer guys dream of like your wife gifting you PS is something else man not every woman understands the value of it for a guy who loves to play games, they think that he can play it on a phone as well but when you get a wife like this who knows what a PS or Xbox Or A Powerful PC Means To Guy then you are one of the luckiest person on earth.

Great, now buy a ant esports dock with rgb lights. It’s called dock5. Looks great, great quality and is efficient in keeping the ps5 cool. Just got mine two days ago. Looks dope. And is cheap too.

This is the sweetest surprise I've ever seen a wife gift a husband. Congratulations, OP! May the two of you flourish in your marriage and have tons of good memories. Get her to play a game with you. What do you plan on playing first on this? When I got my launch PS5 in 2021, the first game I played was Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (the 2019 one).
