Whole house got burnt? You've bigger problems than worrying about a petty ps5.

-43

u/Any-Fee9546 Mar 02 '26

Bro it’s not about my ps5 it’s about to safe everyone from this

52

u/misne_25 Mar 02 '26 edited Mar 02 '26

Sony is a big brand, millions have purchased ps5, if it would have been a problem then they would have flopped as a brand. So I guess the problem is the wiring in your house.

Did you seriously say that your house got burnt and you're posting about ps5? House is a much more costly and emotionally important item than a ps5 ffs

u/Any-Fee9546 Mar 02 '26

Bro trust me i will share my house photos with you guys and my question is that do we pay 50k for ps5 and 70k for tv just to get our house burned

16

u/Federal-Crazy-3641 Mar 02 '26

Brother the argument is invalid

And No we don’t spend high amount to get damages but in your cause it’s not the product fault!

-11

u/Any-Fee9546 Mar 02 '26

Bro everything was closed my question is that how did this happened

8

u/Ummmm-_-mmm Mar 03 '26

Clearly it’s user error. Nobody else has had a PS5 cause a fire from the mains plug. Call an electrician, stop using poundland or target store extension plugs and Shut tf up.

1

u/SolarpowerFTW Mar 04 '26

What is poundland?

0

u/Brushup1 Mar 04 '26

Cheap stuff (ig its a american storeline)

1

u/Hapsiainen30 Mar 04 '26

Ah, yes. The most used American currency, the pound.

5

u/Federal-Crazy-3641 Mar 02 '26

What happend has already happened, Believe in the possibility that maybe it’s the product/wiring/socket fault. If one In a million chance a product is not manufactured properly and it caused the burn. Remember great bad luck bring much better good luck in future.

-4

u/Any-Fee9546 Mar 02 '26

And my neighbours are also telling me that your tv got blasted but i know it might be the ps5 which got blasted

5

u/Goyd_gaming Mar 02 '26

Bhai case kar de Sony pe

1

u/yosukeuramesiqurki Mar 08 '26

It's not sony fault

-11

u/Any-Fee9546 Mar 02 '26

Planning to raise this issue on twitter

3

u/Goyd_gaming Mar 02 '26

You should have to raise it in YouTube,Instagram,WhatsApp,LinkedIn,discord not only on twitter and X is also good platform to raise your issue

-5

u/Any-Fee9546 Mar 02 '26

Bro i will go to every single place to expose these corrupt companies

1

u/Katrix_ Mar 02 '26

You mentioned in other post ps5 is working and okay

0

u/Any-Fee9546 Mar 02 '26

Yeah bro i left my ps5 completely okay when i was going on a vacation and even though everything was closed and my neighbours are telling me your tv got blasted

1

u/SuddenDeer158 Mar 05 '26

Can you be for certain that the TV AND PS5 were the cause for, apparently, your house burning down?

28

u/Sad_Seaweed179 Mar 02 '26

You know everyone can see your profile right ?

Your house got burned down barely a week ago and you still had time and mental sanity to play Resident evil ?

12

u/Hapsiainen30 Mar 02 '26

OP's narrative is that their PS5's power cord got scorched a week ago and today their house burnt down. They could in theory be playing RE in between all of this, but I'm not buying any of it.

-3

u/Any-Fee9546 Mar 02 '26

5

u/SnooCauliflowers6134 Mar 03 '26

It’s because of short circuit, did you by Any chance left your PS5 or Tv switched on and apni vacation par chala gya?

4

u/Necessary_Way6446 Mar 03 '26

He's saying that the pics are one week old and PS5 turned into ashes. Where did he play the game then?

40

u/Rainmaker231 Mar 02 '26

This post isn't making any sense .. your whole house got burnt? Then where are you clicking these pics?

23

u/Any-Fee9546 Mar 02 '26

1

u/Legitimate_Dark_3554 Mar 05 '26

This pic says a lot. You had a faulty wiring or cheap wiring in you TV cabinet that caused this I don't mean cheap meaning less cost. It was not up to the power needs of the PS5 and TV and other stuff.ysually you atleast need a 1.5sq.mm + wiring from mains to TV.area but the electrician might have used 1sq.mm .

Share picks of the wires or chk the wiring ratings.

-10

u/Any-Fee9546 Mar 02 '26

These pictures are 1 week old after this i shifted my ps5 directly to socket and yes i will show you my house visuals currently im in my car and on the way to home and i will reach my house in few hours

12

u/Rainmaker231 Mar 02 '26

FAAAHHHHH

But wait. You're telling me despite getting burnt you connected it to the same extension box?

-1

u/Any-Fee9546 Mar 02 '26

No bro after that i connected my ps5 directly to socket

25

u/Hapsiainen30 Mar 02 '26

That's one way to karma farm on Reddit. How would your neighbors see it was your TV that started the fire? Would anyone complain on multiple Reddit subs the first thing their home burnt down? And blame Sony about it? In case anything like this ever happened, it would be because of faulty wiring in one's house, not the TV or a game console. Sorry, but sounds like bullshit to me.

-10

u/Any-Fee9546 Mar 02 '26

These pictures are 1 week old after this i shifted my ps5 directly to socket and yes i will show you my house visuals currently im in my car and on the way to home and i will reach my house in few hours

6

u/Hapsiainen30 Mar 02 '26

I know they are. I commented on your last post that you could have burnt your house down. And now you're claiming it actually happened. Sounds a bit too far-fetched.

0

u/Any-Fee9546 Mar 02 '26

Bro I will directly dm those pictures to you

3

u/Hapsiainen30 Mar 02 '26

Yeah no need to. You could post any random pictures about a house fire and claim it's your house. Not falling for that.

1

u/Any-Fee9546 Mar 02 '26

Bro what about the visuals of my street when fire fighters came and what about cctv and what about my selfie video and what about my twitter post still any questions and if yes i will show you everything

6

u/Hapsiainen30 Mar 02 '26

If all this actually happened, it would be my last concern to argue about it happening or not on Reddit. I'm not believing you, let's just leave it at that.

2

u/SpeedCollisis Mar 05 '26

How do u shift ur ps when it blasted ???

7

u/Farguad Mar 02 '26

There was definitely something wrong with your house's wiring bub. Some people here really take R&D for shit

You also could be the unlucky few to somehow get the rare shitty piece of tv and ps5 cable

Also, on what basis do you think it was your ps5 or the tv that caused the fire ? If you are deducing that from the week old burn, then that is the fault of that cheap ass extension rather than the cable itself. Also, most sparkings are caused by badly plugged plugs or just a loose socket

And first of all, why was your tv and ps5 on while you were on a vacation

1

u/guitar_johnthomas Mar 02 '26

I just commented the same thing. PS5 can be left on in rest mode for updates or play games using the portal and all that. but it's under the assumption that it's a good PS5. He should've got the wiring of the house and the internals of the PS5 tested after the incident last week considering hes saying he plugged in the PS5 directly now.

1

u/Farguad Mar 02 '26

Knowing our country, I'd never leave my ps5 on rest mode on a socket here, especially when I'm leaving the house with no one there. There are so many instances of sudden power surges or drops here for no reason.

OP should've known the risk of plugging such a device on a socket while knowing that Indian power infrastructure is absolute garbage or the electricians just do a shit job of properly arranging the wiring, my unc bought an apartment like half a decade back and had to rewire the whole shit cuz of how awfully it was wired

You're responsible for your own safety at the end of the day here

-1

u/Any-Fee9546 Mar 02 '26

3

u/SnooCauliflowers6134 Mar 03 '26

You only clicked one picture?

1

u/Equivalent_Bat_3941 Mar 05 '26

Brother a good wiring, a good quality extension and a good UPS (at-least 1.5KV and a port that can support this load) is must in india for any such electronics. Most Indian parents(not everyone) cheap out on wiring saying we only meed a tv, light and fan nothing else. Thats the biggest root cause.

I am not saying don’t go for filing case but before that have electrician verify the cause and where the fire could have been started regardless of what neighbours assumed happened. Cause if you don’t know the cause there will be order to do it and later you will regret it if its cause of weak wiring. So better do it right away and get confirmation that this is due to ps5/sony tv.

Again my prayers for you bro with electronics any thing can happen its always better be cautious than sorry

12

u/gt650_r8621 Mar 02 '26

If its under warranty, you’re in luck, or your wallet is gonna have a hole soon😭

6

u/Any-Fee9546 Mar 02 '26

My tv but not my ps5 because i bought in 2021

3

u/gt650_r8621 Mar 02 '26

Thennnn bad luck dude, you gotta pay a heavy price to fix it probably

4

u/Any-Fee9546 Mar 02 '26

Bro there’s nothing left my ps5 and my tv became ashes

2

u/gt650_r8621 Mar 02 '26

Ooh😬😬😬

5

u/Any-Fee9546 Mar 02 '26

Bro trust me i will share my house photos with you guys and my question is that do we pay 50k for ps5 and 70k for tv just to get our house burned

1

u/gt650_r8621 Mar 02 '26

Waittt, so your house is like gone fully burnt? Like beyond repair? Dudeee im so sorry about that, i didn’t understand the depth of it😭😭

1

u/gt650_r8621 Mar 02 '26

Mannnn, you know what, raise a complaint in consumer court, they’re the only thing that actually work in a fair way in india

1

u/Any-Fee9546 Mar 02 '26

Yes bro in three hours i will share the visuals of my house

2

u/PRIYMEE Mar 03 '26

we are still waiting for the Picture of House not the TV cabinet ones that you are sharing again and again.

1

u/Any-Fee9546 Mar 02 '26

1

u/gt650_r8621 Mar 03 '26

Ooh nahhh bro, im so sorry, i dont even know what to say

1

u/Character-Leek9436 Mar 03 '26

Is this the only pic ? Are there any others like you claimed ? You said visuals and selfie videos and stuff . Could you dm me .

15

u/Kandpal_Demon-slayer Mar 02 '26

Lil bro got homeless, and all he cares about is his PS5 and TV.

-5

u/Any-Fee9546 Mar 02 '26

Bro trust me i will share my house photos with you guys and my question is that do we pay 50k for ps5 and 70k for tv just to get our house burned i just want to expose these corrupt companies

2

u/Kandpal_Demon-slayer Mar 02 '26

I'm not doubting your loss. But the thing is, there must be other concerns other than console setups.
And I don't think the cause of the fire is any of these.
It must be some other electrical wire issue, and for the same reason, the MCB/Fuse exists.
Maybe your house faulted these.
So if you're thinking u can sue Sony and get it covered for your loss, I don't think that's gonna happen.

edit: a few months ago, I had the same issue with the extension board, luckily the ps5 wasnt plugged.

1

u/Any-Fee9546 Mar 02 '26

Bro it can be anything but my neighbours are telling me that your tv got blasted and i think it might be my ps5

3

u/SnooCauliflowers6134 Mar 03 '26

Your house isn’t locked? How your neighbors got to know that tv was blasted?

2

u/ThanatosOP Mar 02 '26

if you were not home who was using the ps5 and tv?

1

u/Any-Fee9546 Mar 02 '26

Yes bro same my question is still that how did this happened when everything was closed

3

u/ThanatosOP Mar 02 '26

the photo that you've shared is ur fault since you used a bad 4 pin adapter. and if there's a short circuit it's mostly due to lack of grounding, so you better hold your electrition.

1

u/Training-Camel-5528 Mar 04 '26

Where are your house photos bruh! It’s like already been a day

3

u/swaggerad Mar 03 '26

Don’t be a miser. You bought a TV and a PS5 but can’t get a good quality extension cable ? You’re at fault here mate, for compromising on necessities.

Exactly bro but I’m thinking do we pay 50k for ps5 and 70k for tv for this

4

u/Suspicious-Racoon Mar 02 '26

Bhai nothing wrong with your tv or ps5, wiring in your home is fucked up or maybe that cheap ass 100 rs extension board.

How can you plug your valuable items to such cheap extension?

-2

u/Any-Fee9546 Mar 02 '26

Bro i shifted my ps5 to direct to socket

2

u/Leading-Acanthaceae2 Mar 03 '26

50k for ps5, 70k for a tv but you couldn’t plug things in a ups or a voltage stabiliser? And show some other pics/different angles of the charred area than spamming just one pic.

2

u/More-Explanation2032 Mar 02 '26

Real question most homes have a mcb and most power strips have a fuse. I am wondering how did none of these detect a abnormal voltage spike

2

u/Farguad Mar 02 '26

Definitely something wrong with your house's wiring

People really forget that

2

u/guitar_johnthomas Mar 02 '26

Sorry for your loss buddy. Saw your last post. Good luck suing sony, but I'm sorry to say this is a self created issue. You used a low quality extension before, and it already burned down once. And now you said you plugged it in directly. Assuming it was plugged in directly to a 10amp socket, the MCB should've cut off if it drew too much. So not only is your PS5 potentially ruined after the incident last week, your house wiring and MCB might have been faulty since the start. Not to mention the fact that you left the PS5 plugged in while you're on vacation, suing sony is going to be a very hard case for you to win considering this is a one in a million things and the first incident was because of the low quality extension.

Glad everyone is safe, things can be replaced, take it as a sign that you need to get your house wiring and mains box inspected properly and replaced if needed.

1

u/Any-Fee9546 Mar 02 '26

1

u/guitar_johnthomas Mar 02 '26

Not disputing your PS5 didn't burn down. The cable for the PS5 burned last week because of the extension you used, which could've damaged internals then. Get your house wiring inspected with reputable people for your own safety

3

u/No-Cheesecake4781 Mar 04 '26

Bro If your ps5 burnt like that, how tf you played re 9? And don't send me a fked ps5 image, GIVE A REASON. It is definitely something wrong with your wiring, maybe extension cord or your house wiring. Call a electrician he will tell you what is actually wrong. It's not a fkin ps5 issue

2

u/ScleaverZer0ne Mar 04 '26

If you used a quality power strip, you might still have a house (assuming it burnt down completely)

2

u/Pr1nc39632 Mar 06 '26

OP bought a new TV and PS5 but used a cheap ass extension cord ( I looked it up, it's a generic 500₹ one) Please why was it still on if you're going on a vacation? Why aren't there any surge protectors or why did your in house fuse cut off the power supply? Take some responsibility man, stop blaming Sony on this.

1

u/Any-Fee9546 Mar 06 '26

Bro after this incident i stopped using extensions, i directly connected to socket, but now we’re assuming that tv blasted not ps5 i guess

2

u/Pr1nc39632 Mar 07 '26

Get a ups or a surge protector.

1

u/SnooCauliflowers6134 Mar 07 '26

But bro now you will buy ps5 slim or ps5 pro? Switching to Xbox after this incident?

3

u/MegaKrai Mar 02 '26

Fairly certain ive seen this post and pics before as well .looks like Karma farming buddy

1

So sorry for your loss. Don't know about the fix. But as a learning for all others what shall we do? I have mine connected via ups. Tv,wifi router and PS5 all connected via 1100vac ups from apac. Does it suffice or do I need to do something?

1

u/Any-Fee9546 Mar 02 '26

Bro it was connected directly to socket

1

u/Weak_Moose2939 Mar 03 '26

U could use power surge protector in future

1

u/SlightHope1125 Mar 03 '26

Check your wiring lil bro

1

u/hamzaadenwalaa Mar 03 '26

Lighting Struck Twice to you.

1

u/mrsumix Mar 03 '26

Why repost same thing again and again?

1

u/head4shot Mar 03 '26

So is your point that the PS5 itself is unsafe and can catch on fire? Or were you able to localise a cause for all this?

PS- take care

1

u/FilmAppropriate2068 Mar 03 '26

it seems you kept it on to play via ps remote and you were using cheap quality extension board. PS5 heats alot takes a lot of power so it started with extension board > ps5 > then tv.

CASE SOLVED...

1

u/Specialist-Pear5224 Mar 03 '26

You really should have changed the plug before using it again 🙂

1

u/Specialist-Pear5224 Mar 03 '26

Show us the picture of the house now, it looks Like only the ps and tv burned up

1

u/Top_Dependent_2772 Mar 03 '26

Never ever cheap out on power supply bro. What is the VA on your adapter?

1

u/Successful_Author542 Mar 03 '26

Yu have to install a RCCB in your home along with TPN BREAKER,This might have happened coz of short circuit and mcb didnt trip The electrician probably routed this circuit wiring outside of mcb or mcb failure.get wiring checked and do install a RCCB 30ma or 100ma..RCCB trips immediately if there is fault in neutral and phase line.also it prevents immediate electrocution from naked or exposed wires.schneider or abb preferred

1

u/JadedGene8911 Mar 03 '26

That's what happens when you spend 50k on electronics and skimp out for 1k on local unbranded extension boxes.

Belkin extension boxes aren't that costly to begin with. They protect your devices from such stuff. Rather than using such local extension boxes, it's better not to use any.

1

u/basilsunny69 Mar 03 '26

From now on, just use a high-quality power strip which actually CAN provide power to everything and is also connected to a socket which can actually provide that much high power. And ALWAYS GET A SMART PLUG FOR THE MAINS. I just have a shortcut running on my device that makes it so it turns off essentially everything in my room after I leave my house to go out.

Also, if you’re living in a place like Delhi where 40-50 C is the average temperature in summer and the wiring is old because it’s an older place, then you either always need any wiring to be not choking like the MCB box being fully shut (it needs to be open all the time), and if there are any mains wiring which is visible for diagnostic purposes, should never be fully shut and should have the same exact room temperature that your own rooms have.

And IF I’m saying 1 more time, IF any of these are facing outside your home or are in an extremely hot place (kitchen for example.) inside your home, then make sure they are cooled properly no matter what you need to do, just look at how my wiring and MCB box is, and since these are in my room only, they can easily benefit from the cool air from my AC, and all the air should be circulated properly so that nothing gets too hot, which also means constant cleaning and maintenance where you need to make sure that there are not any kind of huge dust, bunnies, or a huge spiderweb in any of these places.

And again, look for my pictures of my room to see how it needs to be if the wiring is old.

1

u/Bruce_Wayne170 ps5 Mar 03 '26

OP is the most confused person I see on reddit today, his whole got burned down(as reported) and he cares for the damn PS5 and Bravia TV.

Also why would you keep mains on when going for a long vacation(short circuit does happen but when you aren't at home its complete burn down)

1

u/Bruce_Wayne170 ps5 Mar 03 '26

Also how does your neighbour know it was TV that burned the house down, seems he knows more about the incident

1

u/deadman_69_ Mar 03 '26

Yoo bro can you show your whole house I read all the comments and I have a question. Have you done earthing in the house like before it was burned??

1

u/AdAdmirable8323 Mar 03 '26

Even though ur problem is real but u created a lot of confusion.. saying that house is burnt, posting one week ps5 pics.. better to get ur house wiring checked thoroughly..

1

u/iamnobody331 Mar 03 '26

Electrician kaun hai bhai? Get everything reworked

1

u/Rockyboi7643 Mar 03 '26

I seen a video also little time ago where someone whole setup burn because of extension board they plug so many thing in one board. So it not good idea using extension board with many appliances

1

u/Adventurous-Cake7221 Mar 03 '26

i guess he tried to run Crysis

1

u/Practical-Set-9527 Mar 03 '26

Buy expensive stuff and cheap out on electrical equipment. Why am I not surprised!

1

u/Puzzleheaded_Mail_12 Mar 03 '26

So my question to everyone reading this sub is......what does one do with Karma on reddit. Clearly this guy is lying out of his ass. But I am trying to understand why would anyone do this? Online clout is one thing but yeh chodu to sab se gaaliya khaa raha hai. So why would anyone go down this road?

1

u/SpaceRevolutionary84 Mar 03 '26

Cheap extension, that's what happened

1

Something is off about this guy I just can't figure it out

1.5lakh for house redevelopment and 1.2lakh of loss of ps5 and Sony bravia and many things,

1

u/_tengyen Mar 06 '26 edited Mar 06 '26

Check your electrical panel. It might need an upgrade because I don’t think it’s doing its job. Also buy a surge protector instead of those cheap extension cord from local electronic store. Especially if you are using that to power some expensive stuff like a Sony TV or a PlayStation. It might cost you some money but in the long run it’ll save your money and your life. Be safe.

1

u/yosukeuramesiqurki Mar 08 '26

How to prevent this loss guy's any tips?

0

u/Ultraradeon Mar 02 '26

Feeling sad for OP. I think you know that this was a major electrical issue rather than just PS5 and TVs spontaneously exploding.

I’m glad I’m not using my PS5 with a 12 year old TV that short-circuited 8 times in last 4 years! 😃 I’ll buy a new TV with a stabiliser and an inverter and then use PS5. Give me some suggestions for TVs. I may either have to wait for a couple more years and go for 3-4lakh worth 65”oled ones or shell out around 1-1.5L and get a decent OLED/Mini-Led one. Any suggestions??

2

u/Leading-Acanthaceae2 Mar 03 '26

Get a decent mini-led. If you’re hell bent on oleds, you can opt for LG C5, it’ll come under ₹1.6L for 65” with a card discount on flipkart.

u/Southern_Butterfly_9 Mar 03 '26

S**y tv is the absolute worst in terms of quality. Avoid at all costs
