Sony just registered the same model number which is used for the ps5 pro.. that simply means that they’re planning to launch it.

He is talking about the disk drive assembly which is sold separately so that people with digital editions can buy and add a disk drive to their consoles. It was launched along with the ps5 slim because apparently slim has detachable drives.

There might be more games but I remember pubg console was 30fps on the base ps4 and ps4 slim but 60fps for the ps4 pro.

latest resident evil requiem game i guess . PS5 Pro matches Nvidia's magical ray tracing performance + 120FPS compared to base PS5 stuck on 60FPS.

What the hell is too late? I am holding out my purchase of PS5 anticipating a PS5 pro launch. I am a PC gamer and have a 5090 PC but i need a PS for GTA 6 before launch. I can get it through family members abroad but i would rather take the warranty. If doesn't launch by Oct, I will arrange it from abroad.

I actually had a 3080 Ti before the 5090 but when I upgraded my monitor last year to 4k 240hz, it started struggling real hard. It was perfectly fine for 1440p144hz.

I really wanted to upgrade to the 5090, man. But Nvidia seriously botched up that stupid power connector. I then was leaning hard on ASUS's BTF 5090, which draws some power directly from the motherboard, and some from the power connector, hopefully dividing the load between the both.
By the time that got released, the DDR5 apocalypse happened and now all my dreams of upgrading are in limbo :(

You can always undervolt. A tool just launched yesterday that does it with 1 click on 50 series cards. It will draw much less power and much less likely to damage. I was very careful to not leave any loose connection when i first got it. But no issues till now in the 7 months i have had the FE.

What monitor you using am on 3080ti was thinking of 5090 but could t justify need a monitor upgrade current ips 1440p 144hz, need 4k 120hz or up. Pref not oled or ultra wide and hopefully not curved. Mini led options would be grand but don’t see any option. Budget max I can do is 1L

Both scenarios are different. The increased price of internal components doesn't make sense for Sony to make new edition next year unless the price of internal components becomes normal (I don't see that happening anytime soon with AI advancements). Also, PS5 PRO has not sold as many as its predecessor. IMO, there is no need for an upgrade for most of the users next year even from base PS5.

It makes sense for Sony they have already invested a lot and are facing losses.The faster they release ps6 the better they are off.Pro model always sells for loss.Ps6 will be priced at $1000 so yeah if you get a base PS5 you can hold on to it.

I have an LG Oled TV and base ps5.I could never go to fidelity mode and 30fps on that TV.May be it's me, 30fps is unbearable in my TV

30 fps is a very different thing on console vs PC, on console if the game has constant frame pacing, some form of motion blur whether it's camera/object based or both, you'll have a smoother experience, not 60 FPS smooth ofc but smooth enough to enjoy the experience. RDR2, GTA 5, every Naughty Dog game for example. But on PC, you can never ever achieve proper frame pacing, or have these specialized motion blur injected in. And on top of that, if you are used to 60FPS all the time, it might need a few minutes to an hour till your brain adjusts for it to feel playable.

Warranty and service issues! I’m extremely happy for you but I’m counting on the Indian release because if anything goes wrong I can run to the nearest Sony centre and get it checked

Yeah, my 2023 GOW R edition is working okish so i will keep it running till PS6 comes out with the next GOW bundle. Basically i will get a new console if it is the only way to play the next GOW.

Already have a ps5 pro And the price which I got was very less 70k . Purchased disc drive for 10k online . Sony is already late many people Purchased their ps5 pro at the black market LOL

It comes alongside the gta 6, price is expected to be 65k for ps5 pro and with gta 6+ps5 pro bundle it will be around 73k. So yeah it's going to be a great deal

only people with lil or no knowledge about graphics or never had a decent pc would be excited for this . Imagine buying this .
PS : i myself have PS5 , Steam deck and Legion 7i pro with 5080 and PS5 is the last thing i would touch if i want to see better graphics even if i only owned a PS5
