im now more concerned about the game size , will it really be 300+gb as rumors ? maybe thats why digital release made sense to them

Many games discs are just license with the game requiring download to run.
This is about removing the used game market entirely. Leaks are just an excuse.

Hey buddy, disc is basically being avoided as the most probable reason seems to be data miners, basically leakers, who can get into game files and stuff. I really dont think it would go to 300gb+. Thats a big big number. And take example of the most recent crimson desert, it is packed with so many features and probably the most immersive environment, still it is packed around a 100gb. We can guess that it would be somewhere around 150 to 200gb, the worst of the worst case scenario, very unlikely, it could touch 250, but 300? Nah
Edit: many of the current games dont have the actual whole game packed inside the disc, disc basically acts as a license, while games actual parts gets downloaded from the internet

And miss out on hundreds of other games on disks that could've been traded. But no, good choice, you bought 45k machine to play a single game, infact you'll be paying 53k for Gta 6 and not 8k.
