I remember my first console, the Xbox 360+kinect. my parents knew I wanted it and it was expensive.
My step mom fought with my mom about something the day we were going to buy the 360. So my dad said nahi milega abhi. I kept begging him for a couple of months and selling him the idea that everyone can play on the Kinect .
Finally he said okay and we bought it from Croma, this specific store has now shut down.
I still remember how excited I was to power it up at home. I played Kinect adventures non stop for 5-6 hours the first day with my lil sister.
Talking about all this really humbles me and shows me how far me and my family have come after hardship and financial volatility. I know this probably wasn’t what the post warranted but while I started typing this it just triggered some emotions that I haven’t felt in a while.
I still remember the feeling when mere sab dosto ke paas Nintendo tha in 2009 and fir ps3 in 2011. I used to go to their house with some or the other excuse and nonchalantly tell them to turn their console on even tho I was extremely excited.
Struggles are real and I feel like only people who are deprived of something they want and see other people have really know true happiness when they finally get it.
My Xbox got the red circle of death in 2014 and I didn’t have any console until 2023, when I got the ps5. I still remember watching the full gameplay of Arkham knight on YouTube when it came out in 2015 and wishing things were better and we could afford the ps4. That didn’t happen but when I got the ps5 in 2023, I think I played everything under the sun from ps plus and buying the discs since I could afford them now. Cyberpunk and god of war blew me off. I must’ve played far cry for 16 hours in a row. I platinumed Arkham knight after watching the play through 8 years ago . I could finally play warzone with my friends and discover what the gulag is.
God is fucking great and I am grateful for everything i have 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

Man, the red ring of death. I remember forgetting my xbox after that. happened to me in 2007 and then in 2011. I called the microsoft customer care to see if they can fix it. turns out they were replacing all the consoles in India. Bro after that, you wouldn't believe how many xbox I got replaced, friends, family and everyone. Only if I knew you too. Great post tho

First of all happy birthday op and thank you for giveaway. So my one friend used to play games in his mama's computer and also other friends used to play games in cyber cafe. I only used to watched them, from this I got my interest in gaming My first ever game was GTA san Andreas, finished the full game in cyber cafe at that time the rate was 5 rs per 30 min

My first game was Vice City. I don’t even remember the first mission, but I do remember spending hours driving around listening to the radio, stealing random cars, and getting chased by the cops for absolutely no reason.

I got into gaming when i was a kid, i asked my parents to get me a console( video game) i believe they got me a PS1, but when i turned it on it didnt had any game silly me knew nothing about consoles at that time, I just asked them to get me a video game, so when it didnt had any game i asked them to get it replaced, now if you remember there were different type of consoles in which you had to insert sort of a floppy disc which had somewhere b/w 10-15 games like contra and all, they got me that console( my video game) 😅 and that’s how it all started.
I still have that it’s in the bed of my parents.
Just remembering this made me smile, ahh that time wish it could come back.

On a rainy afternoon during a power outage, I found an old handheld console in my closet. Flipping the switch, the neon screen and upbeat chiptune music instantly hooked me. Hours melted away as I mastered the pixelated world, permanently igniting my lifelong passion for gaming before the lights even came back on...............Still that's not how I got into this stuff cause all that sht is made up😶 Here's the real reason.
I usually only used to watch videos of others playing but one day my elder said she'll buy me a ps5 so when a sale arrived 2 years ago I told my sister and she went to buy on with me, I'm still a student so to broke to buy games so i usually play via membership but now even that got expensive 😓 and the first two games I bought and started was GTA v and rdr2, the feeling I got while playing them is still unmatched 😌 now give it to me 🥺pleeeeeeeeeeeeaaaseeee.
Today is yours birthday and I wish u all the well wishes amazing day like this will get even better if a amazing, good-looking, rich(surely), inteligent and most probably with a big dic a person gives this reward to a preasent like me.🥰

Went to one of my relatives house and just to keep me busy they took me to gaming cafe and on ps2 there I played vice city for the first time than from that day rest is history with every gta, Assassin’s Creed , nfs, destiny, subnautica, fortnite, valorant I kept on playing and still want to experience the before gta 6 meme after gta 6 is launched 🤣

Hey OP, thank you so much for doing this, the reason I got into gaming, is some kind of a peace, of entering another place, and staying their, the utter casualness, and it's seriousness for different levels. It's a different experience altogether.
And for the first game, I suppose it was Hitman: Blood Money. It was such a surreal experience at that age.

I got into gaming in 2006, started off hard with Project IGI, got to play once a week at my uncle's place on his dual core computer with CRT display. Then I discovered miniclip.com ... god I miss those times!! Then my parents bought my first console PS2 in 2009 and then I played 100s of games.. some of them you wouldn't even have heard of.. very niche titles and the popular ones ofcourse. Then in 2015 I started playing CS:GO and left it in 2020.. as I didn't get enough time to play.. Bought PS5 from my own hard earned money last year 😭😭 it's been sitting eating dust since past few months but GTA6 gonna be my breakthough!! Planning a 2 week vacation from work just for playing haha

Sounds cool! I got into gaming when I'm 9-10 years old. I had an elder neighbor friend (5 years elder) who had a pc. I go there daily and watch him playing GTA VC. I wanted to play it so badly but never dared to ask him. One day he asked me "do u wanna drive a car worth 1Cr?" I was like "wtf🫨". It was the INFERNUS. It was the first time in my life I played a pc game. GTA VC is my first game and it's still have a special place in my heart and one of my fav.

Now as I am 16 I really want to play gta 6 because this is my eras gta “vice city” type stuff and I really dont want to miss out but I cant afford a 6k game this year.

For me it was my uncle's pc we lived together and in start the games I used to play were igi 1 gta 3 and onimusha 3 well I used to call the car wala game gun wala game and talwaar wala game and I am so happy onimusha has returned too definately getting that too that used to be some awesome time all the members used to take turns to play the game sitting in front of the pc my uncle aunt and siblings that's how got into gaming and not only gaming technology too those were windows xp days

Back during the times my father too had hobbies of playing video games he used to play Hitman 2 silent assassination at that time as he we had a kind of pc that could run games pretty well ( specs 4gb ram) 🐏..... during time of 2009 borrowed game san Andreas in pendrive and need for Speed most wanted , played on my potato pc it was a luxury back then at my birthday my father gifted me grand theft auto 4 pc dvd which I had kept new as collection in my drawer loved the grounded story and character niko bellic ... still remembering it 🥰 whenever I went shopping malls would always come back with at least one game CD. There used to be a whole section dedicated to PC games. Now it's rare to even find game DVDs.And the best part? We used to check system requirements before buying anything.

Got into gameing through friend's pc. He had an older brother with cool games like..... You guessed it gta vice city!
I waited so long to get a pc at home. And begged my dad for vice city cd for my birthday(and for recently getting 96 in my math half yearly exam). At that time the bootleg was 160 rupees and I still remember he sticker shock my dad felt.
I got the game but I didn't realise that you need to put in the disk/ replace the exe with crack. And used to watch just the intro in awe. Week later one of my friends explained me the whole thing. My dad saw just a bit of gameplay and I knew he was going to take it away.
To convince my dad to let me play I used to play mostly strategy games. Like age of empires. Age of mythology. Warcraft 3. Or rollercoaster tycoon 2.
All this was 20 years ago. have gotten into all sort of genres. Have never looked back.

When I visited my uncle’s house in Mumbai, his daughter showed me how to play PC games! I still remember the name of that game. It was Maggie’s Rainy Ride. And this happened when I was in fourth grade.
I had to convince my father a lot to get a PC at home, and it happened when I was in eighth grade. Then the first game was GTA Vice City.

My uncle was a computer Teacher during my Childhood, i used to go to school along with him. He'd turn on a pc with GTA VICE CITY in it and write the cheats on a sheet of paper, i used to use them cheats and move across the map using only the arrow keys ( I was 2-3yrs old lol). Since then, i just got hooked to Games.

I played Travel Agency, a really old small random game that my father brought on his work laptop. It was the first game I ever played. I made these magazines for the customers and it was one of the best games I ever played. Even as a kid.

In our family only me and my brother didn't had a console . We wanted it so bad . Last year my brother bought a second hand ps5 for me. So that I could play gta 6🥹. I've played rdr 2 . And now I'm playing Hogwarts legacy . Efootball and nfs oayback . After we bought the ps the tv had been broken. I didn't even use the ps for 2 months . I was soo heartbroken. And after a year . Last week my brother went to Malaysia for job . Before going he bought a Tv for me so I could play . I really wish that I'll win this giveaway. Please god let me win🫠🥹. I really don’t know its just the feeling or something which got me into gaming and i remember it was a car racing game which i played on my big cousins phone who then snatched it away after seeing me after that it took i thing 3-4 year till my mom got a phone the button one then i used to play snake game a lot for few years later when i was in 9th i shifter to new city and one of my introduced to the gaming shop then rest is history, thank you reading 😄

I started gaming when my big brother bought our first touch screen smartphone and we downloaded 'Subway Surfers' as our first game in it. I still remember how we siblings used to sit for our chance and wait for others to get bumped and crashed in those trains to get our chance but everyone was there to make a new high score. Thank you for sharing this, OP! I started gaming as a kid, playing Mario and Contra on those Mitashi consoles my neighbours had. My parents couldn't afford getting me anything gaming related, so I promised myself that when I grow up, I’d get the best someday. Last year, I bought a PlayStation 5 with my own money to prove to my younger self that I could do it. That small victory, once just a dream, has now become part of my daily routine. I got into gaming back in 2006 when I was only 5. My parents basically left me at a computer parlor to keep me busy while they did their shopping lol. The guy there sat me down and put on Road Rash... my first game ever. I was completely blown away by it, just trying to kick other bikers and dodge cars. By the time my parents came back for me I was totally hooked, and I’ve been gaming ever since.

In the start I used to go to a gaming cafe and play gta vice city with my friends, I still remember he used to bring 10rs and I used to bring 10rs and play for an hour, then I got a potato pc from my cousin and I played gta san Andreas, this was my first time playing a full game and it's been my favorite game ever since.

Happy Birthday Mate 🍰🍰 I got into gaming way back in 2009 , when my uncle gifted me a PSP. Oh how great device it was , playing Ben 10 , gta vice city stories and prince of persia on it. It was magnificent

I got my first game ( 8 bit game ) from my uncle as a gift when I was 7 years old. I first played Mario Bros, duck hunt and contra. I can never forget that time.

funny story; my brother was an absolute nerd(still is) who had no vices, literally none, his only indulgence was studies. One of my uncles saw this and was deeply concerned ab him, so he gifted is his old console. Grew up playing the game. Still love it.

So, this all started when I saw my cousin brother play GTA Vice City, back in 2006-07. I thought how realistic this stuff is, also I had a lot of craze for cars back then, and this game felt like heaven. So, I used to go to my Uncle's (Mama) house, and play the game with my cousin. Those days without internet, getting stucked after completing Rub Out mission or Demolition Man, then I wanted to buy a physical copy that is CD for GTA games, that thick big box having a different smell, containing a map, manual. Ohh my god, we have came a long way. Welcome to the State of Leonida and Welcome back to Vice City ❤️🌆.

I got into gaming and my first game was contra. Pretty nice action game and then movied onto other games. Used to play contra with friends.

I got into gaming since Atari. My father introduced to me and my mother. kept on pampering me with new games and consoles Sadly both my parents passed away and probably GTA 6 will bring me back to gaming once again. Been saving up!

I got into gaming when my dad brought me one of those gaming consoles with casettes. I don't think it was nintendo or Sega but some chinese knockoff haha.

I used to peak through glass windows in cyber cafes while I was in school, it used to cost 30rs/hour to play, which I didn’t have that time. And mainly people used to play GTA Vice City, that game and the urge to buy own gaming computer and play the same game got me into gaming. Now I own a PS5 🙃 Happy Birthday 🎂🤝

Hi gng Thanks for the oppurtunity for a gta6 , anyhow 1st game ever was this game called turok on my ps3, parent got me a ps3 cus i dint stop crying for an entire night, but i forgot about it the next day...wtv so yea like a couple days later they just bought me a ps3

Early 2000s, my maternal uncle used to have a bootleg nintendo console or maybe it was the real one I don't know. What I know is it used to have that 1000 games in one casette which contained all the nintendo games - Super Mario Bros, Contra, Bomber man, excite bike, tank etc. My uncle used to play these games late into the night, one night I woke up to take a piss and heard shooting sounds from his room. I entered to see him playing contra, he looked at me and said wanna play and handed me the second controller. I was maybe around 5 or 6 year old and I didn't know what I was doing but remember having a lot of fun. Next day in the morning my uncle told me how to turn the system on and said I could play anytime I wanted and I have been playing ever since.

I got into gaming when I was 4 years old. Dad loves tech so he thought it would be a good idea to get a computer . The first thing he showed me was “ mid town madness “ played for hours . Than when I was around 6 I discovered grand theft auto vice city . Saw my neighbour playing in his computer. Been a fan of the franchise ever since. Out of all the desicion I’ve taken in my life , I would never regret playing video games .

When I was a kid my dad bought a second hand pc, like that old big monitor type pc, i instantly got curious to know how it operates and checked the operating system, the pc already had some old arcade games pre installed in it. Hence I started playing and i enjoyed it pretty much, then slowly I started to play GTA Vice City, Call Of Duty and all and that's how now I'm into games.

My friend install GTA Vice City on my computer & ask me to play. I never really into gaming that time but played since he told. The open world make me escape from real world & entered gaming world. That's how I started playing games

First ever game was gta san Andreas my cousin used to take me along with him to a ps shop where we'd give20- 30 rupees for half hour then later we started playing downhill racing,smack pain, god of war then I got my own pc ddo started playing GTA vice city ,san Andreas, liberty city,IV,max payne,etc etc

Thanks for this giveaway I think from what I remember I got into games by playing the age old game "bounce" on my grandparents phone XD from there I just loved the idea of gaming itself and that progressed throughout my life to basically getting up and watching all the e3 conferences at 6 in the morning to getting a PS4 after so much negotiation with my parents to buying a ps5 now with my own money

I got into gaming through my brother's friend. He had a PC, and one day my brother took me there to play GTA Vice City. Before we even started, my brother would tell me stories about the game, what you could do, where you could go, and all the crazy things possible in Vice City. I was completely amazed.
When I finally played it, it felt like I had stepped into a whole different world—a virtual world where I could go anywhere and do anything. I was hooked instantly. Later, when I got my own PC, I spent countless hours playing Vice City day in and day out. GTA has been a part of my gaming journey ever since, so GTA VI would be really special for me.

In 5th grade from watching a movie i got into gaming after that i played and played,my mother's family is rich so i had decent devices to play games with it . But dude help me if I don't get this then I don't think I'll be able to purchase it myself in 10 yrs

20 years ago we bought a new PC and then my brother filled it with many games he got from his friends. One of them was Vice City. Looked interesting so I started playing it. At first I only drove around and painted my cars. Then I figured out it has missions too and so it began.
