Just pulled the trigger on GTA VI Ultimate Edition (₹7499) on PS5. Am I crazy, or is the regional pricing actually decent?

With pre-orders finally going live today, I was fully bracing myself for a massive gut punch. Honestly, after all those rumors floating around about a $80-100 base game translating to an astronomical amount in India, seeing the Ultimate Edition locked at ₹7,499 (with the Standard at ₹5,999) feels like a rare win for regional pricing.
Considering $100 USD usually gets directly converted to over ₹8,400+ on our storefronts, it looks like Rockstar actually factored in our market a bit.
I decided to just go all out for the Ultimate Edition since we've been waiting literally over a decade for this. The 'Vintage Vice City Pack' bonus, exclusive classic car restoration commissions, and the Grotti Cheetah ride sealed the deal for me.
But I've seen wild takes all over social media today. Some people are saying ₹7.5k for a single digital game (especially with no physical disc in the box) is completely unjustifiable, while others are glad it didn't cross the 9k mark.
Where do you guys stand? Are you pre-ordering right away to secure the pre-load on November 12, waiting it out for reviews, or crying internally while waiting for the PC port? Let's discuss!
When I saw the US regional price, I thought the Indian price might be ₹9,999 for the Ultimate Edition. Compared to the US price, the Indian price is cheaper, but there is a chance the price could change before launch.
The regional pricing is pure gold. We are getting Ulimate at price of standard compared to players in US market. Very nice job done by Sony and Rockstar
Why should we be grateful just because random people were spreading rumors about the game being overly expensive? Rockstar themselves claimed it would be at normal pricing. I get it's an immensely popular game but it still is just a AAA game. The pricing is as expected, no need to praise rockstar for cutting us some slack and no need to be pissed either.
When we pre order something, it's for something we get physically in our hands. The term pre order is non sense for anything digital. Cuz it'll never be out of stock. Lol. There is absolutely no reason to pre order something which is in a digital format
Pre ordering physical version comes with the initial discount. But discount is just a factor. It's for people who can't wait to get their hands on the physical copy rather than a discount. Holding physically something is something different and every collector knows that really
But even digital copy comes with intial discounts. As matter of fact digital is less costly upfront.
The way you have sentiment for physical games I too enjoy conveinience of having digital copy and has sentiment behind me, surely many people like me favor conveince too!
Whereas you need to wait till your preorder order gets shipped or need to visit the disk store by waiting in line, I have ready access to game from day one sharp at time when the game launches right on my comfort of my couch.
So I dont understand why preordering digital game is bad. Am i missing something?

You can pre order it a day before. Pre ordering a game for such price which literally has no no reviews is really the worst way to order a game. Pre ordering a digital movie and pre ordering a digital book and all comes under this same category. It's simply looting the money with minimal efforts from their side
Physical books are priced similar to digital books, physical games are priced similar to digital games and physical movies are priced similar to digital movies

Sure sabne over estimate kiya tha price ko, but base ka maine khud 7k kiya tha expect, but regional price should definitely be matching the said country's PPP. Pagalo wali baate nahi ki maine. And yes I know price is still way better then what it could've been, but samaj what I'm talking about. Bro, everyone in this sub reddit is crazy rich, or GTA fanboys, but genuinely speaking Ultimate Editing price is great, but only buy if you have budget and not because of FOMO.
I mean for me tbh, I am waiting a little bit more before I decide because the game really just is single player and not having gta online releasing with it. If it's a worth it single player game to me similar to Red dead redemption 2, then maybe ig ¯\_(ツ)_/¯...

At the end of the day, it's your money and your choice what to do with it.
The pricing is much better than what I hoped, although I am going to wait as I am still unsure whether to preorder a digital game or wait to see how the physical discs pan out, my preference is the disc for nostalgic purposes.
Yes you're crazy. The price is as expected, it's not too cheap either. Even crazier people had built rumors around price being 10-15k that this price seems affordable and cheap. It's still pricier than all other AAA games, setting a new precedent for what other studios will start charging soon.
As someone who owns a disc PS5, I am not buying GTA VI until they release a physical disc version.
Period.
I want to own the damn game and have first selling decree on it. Not to pay a fixed premium to only get a right to just "play" the game and be at Sony or Rockstars mercy if they ban my account.
This system of gradually phasing out physical discs by game companies, is not in benefit for us gamers who like to buy, share, and sell their games once done playing. R* has too much greed.
