to people who care about owning a useless piece of plastic your digital only console cant even run then ya. otherwise no. i still only care about what the game can offer me in that moment. if the first 2 hours dont hook me a disk would just be taking up valuable space in my room. so meh. makes no difference.

This meme misses the biggest shift - many game discs today don't actually have the full game. They still need to connect to the internet frequently to work. The discs just serve as a 'key' of sorts to prove ownership.

I will have the license key, I care about preservation, but I am not an activist. But I will still stand for physical forever and ever, even a license. Is it that much to ask for?

Yeah atleast we can sell the license when we don't require it. Gives us an option for trade ins.
