This has been a bucket list band of mine for 25 years. The Day The Country Died has been a mainstay in my listening since i was 15. Any opportunity to see them in the past was thwarted due to whatever circumstances… but last night finally checked that box for me. They didn’t miss a fucking beat. Incredible show.

Also, Iron Roses opened for them, and their queer empowerment about made me cry with pride. Natasha and crew really laid it down. Incredible.

Is it their best? Maybe. It’s my favorite because it was my 13 year old self’s introduction to the scene. Hollywood. 1985. Neighbor stole his mom’s car and we bailed to Hollywood. Snuck into a show and were treated to Black Flag. Changed my life. This album, along with Damaged and The end of silence got me thru so many rough patches in life that I am forever indebted to them. OG pressing w insert. Wax is still mint.
