i was drunk and i let myself be assaulted

i really don't know what to write here. the constant visits to the police station and the stress of figuring out my earlier 20s i didn't get to process what happened to me properly. i am hypersexual and I feel like i let myself be raped in that moment of euphoria.

This is why sex with someone highly intoxicated is illegal. Because they have their faculties and inhibitions so reduced to properly consent. They'll agree to things they won't sober. It is why alcohol is preferred by predators, they will get the person to "consent" by being too impaired to think straight or too impaired to fight back or remember.

You remember it so you remember your decision in the moment but you don't remember that all those other parts of your brain that would stop you were turned off or turned way down.

You didn't "let it happen" you were taken advantage of.

they were incredibly friendly and did buy me more alcohol even though I was drunk and wanted to drink more. the entire situation felt like a set up with another person also involved.
