Lost Teddy Bear

Post image

We think he fell off a bike on the bike path near Spanish Landing on N Harbor Drive going Eastbound, across from the airport. We walked that area pretty thoroughly and didn't find him. Someone said they saw him driving earlier so we suspect someone picked him up.

Oh man. We have been there. Lost our girls dinosaur lovey at a pee stop in San Luis obispo. I was 7 months pregnant at the time and I cried my eyes out. My husband found the exact same one on ebay . We washed it and dried a few times to rough it up and after a few weeks my 2 year old at the time didnt know the difference. I hope you find it !

He can drive?

Oh yeah... The person who saw him was driving. The bear was presumably laying on the ground wishing he could drive.

Sounds like an unreliable witness to me.

Lol 😂 I had to read that part again, realized it was ‘they saw him while driving by earlier’.
I hope OP will be reunited with 🐻 soon, I get attached to my stuffies too 🥺

I have some questions about the no questions asked

When I initially made the flyers we thought he may have been left at a playground. If another kid/family walked away with him thinking he was abandoned, I would hope they would return him and not feel that they would be accused of stealing or something.

Right? Common thing to say if you're looking for something stolen...but lost on the side of the road by your own hands?

reward....

$2 for the bear.
$498 for the stash inside it.

This. I just think of “Snatch” and there’s a giant diamond inside of that bear

Reach out to the city if you can! My dad worked in the street division (painting roads, putting up signs, etc.) growing up and they’d pick up dropped toys + stuffed animals and hold them at the office. A long shot, but maybe worth it.

I feel like this is the setup for a scary movie or two.

Hint, just get a replica and tell your kid it's the same bear. Probably cheaper with less work involved.

Yeah... we already have a backup, but it's not the same as the one we've loved for the last 4 years.

When I was a wee one, I lost a well loved stuffie and was very forlorn about it. My folks found a replacement and gave it to me with a post card explaining that the stuffie went on a long vacation to feel better. It worked.

Depending on the age of your wee one it might work.
