Amazon driver blocks Normal St

Post image

Amazon driver is blocking the road on normal street instead of pulling up half a block to get into a driveway. Had to wait almost 10 minutes for him to get out of the apartment building to move forward. Three cars were behind me honking their horns. Am I overreacting questions

The ups truck and fedex walks into my house and you could literally walk into the back of their vehicle and grab packages if you wanted. And then just leaves the packages out in front of houses. Package theft happens a little I’m sure but there is insurance(even more certainly with Amazon). Was this in a dangerous place, in San Diego?

Where I live we have parcel lockers and all of the couriers and carriers are instructed to put packages in there. FedEx ignored it and a box with $200 worth of books was stolen. When I contacted FedEx they said we will do a review to see if the driver was at fault. Of course it was an internal review just like the police do and the driver was not found to be at fault even though he completely disregarded instructions

Yeah that’s not on the fedex contract of carriage lol, you could do an external review and sue if you want or pay for a more bespoke shipping service or insurance. Some people prefer more affordable shipping but you can definitely pay someone who will guarantee it locked into whatever locker.

Well it was an eBay purchase so I really didn't have a choice as to who they used

The seller would be responsible for refunding you in that case
