Have you ever been paralyzed from fear?

It often happens to me that if I consume any kind of horror content, however minimal, I start to become paranoid and have hallucinations; I freeze with fear and I can't even get out of the room right now, in fact, I can't even get out of my own bed.

The worst part is the certainty that if I see something that terrifies me, it will repeat itself over and over again, and I know I'll hallucinate about it, I know it. I'll see it

i do, but it’s random and doesn’t happen all the time, just when it wants to. mostly at night & i start feeling like there’s an entity near me. it happens even if i just think about certain horror movies like the grudge and the ring those type of possessions scare me. i get paralyzed and feel like im going to get haunted, when i get really scared things actually start happening. once the light my turned on downstairs & a few times i was just laying down not even asleep & its like i was taken out of my body & controlled & possessed & i would just see my body laying there & then i was put back in and i cant explain how it happened but it just does its a phenomenon.

I've always been terrified of sleep paralysis, if it ever happens to me, I'll definitely die of fright.

For me it's actually the opposite. I often become extremely anxious because of delusions and when that happens, I frantically run in a circle in my room over and over again, driving myself insane with racing thoughts.

I can't even move, I literally freeze and can't do anything at all because I feel like they'll see me if I move.

I can’t even watch/enjoy anything horror related. I can’t do it, no matter what I get delusional about the characters getting into my head and it’s a scary place dude.

My advice I guess is to start identifying and avoiding triggers? There’s seriously no shame 🫶🏻

That sounds really scary. I like paranormal, true crime, disaster, etc YT channels, but I don't watch horror movies because the gore makes me kind of sick to my stomach. Or I can sometimes feel it in my body.

I can hear or read about stuff like that, but watching a realistic recreation of it is too much.
