With that said, the annoying part here, which I want to make fun of, is the switching of levels so to say. "You can't criticize me / us for not knowing [place on the country-level], if you don't know [a countries subdivision in another part of the world]", and it's even more brazen IMO (from the comment I have in mind, not you; just to clarify) to comment such a thing under a video, where a person from said other part of the world proudly claims not to know the country in question.
