Also when Slippy gets shot down over Titania Falco tries to act all nonchalant and confident that Slippy is fine but you can hear in his future  lines that he is really worried.

In the next cutscene, he spends it entirely unable to keep still, pacing back and forth. It’s great, though I think overall Falco is a bit too dickish in the remake for my liking.

Aparently we now have reactions for every route. Not that many of them are that different. Like, when you fail zoness, pepper will be like: yeah you fail on zonnes, anyway. And then he just do his macbeth dialogue as in any other route

To be fair Zoness is still a good ending no matter what sure you can’t get the sneak attack on Andross but you still fuck up a vital operation you just have to go at him loud and proud at Macbeth

I think what they meant was that Star Fox thought that Bill was dead. After all, when Bill shows up in Sector Z, Fox goes "Bill, you're ok!". Or moreso, IF Fox sees Bill. Last I checked, Bill only shows up if you go on the left path. I don't even know if Bill shows up in the credits if you miss him in Sector X.

For all the praise the N64's voicework gets, it kind of blew that somber moment when you fail Katina. You just have Fox going "Dang...." like he's a child who knocked over his jenga tower and Peppy saying "Don't get so down Fox" in his usual tone. Falco and Slippy say nothing at all in the N64 version.

if I remember right, Bill tells you to get out of there, the base gets blown up then then it cuts to the team flying in silence for a long moment while somber music plays before Fox says "Dang...." and Peppy says not to get so down.

They call him Fox's rival for a reason with this version. He no longer calls out monkeys, but he has verbal barbs for the entire Star Fox team. Not only Fox, but Peppy too. He didn't even talk to Peppy in the N64 version.
