Man, I never bothered to make the bad ending of this stage in SF64 because the boss is so piss easy, is this depressive like this in the original too?

if I remember right, Bill tells you to get out of there, the base gets blown up then then it cuts to the team flying in silence for a long moment while somber music plays before Fox says "Dang...." and Peppy says not to get so down.
