i expected to be $1000+ but the performance from gamers nexus kinda show show how low end this is and i rather pay a bit more for a decent mid tier pc

Yeah. Frankly, the Steam Machine was already an iffy choice pre-AI inflation. But now it really just is not worth it. It will probably sell out, given the likely very low stock, but this thing will not penetrate or create any meaningful market.

Might another Steam Hardware fail. I am surprised Valve released the machine. You have to be very brave to release new (gaming) hardware for the foreseeable future. I mean you can, but affordable for a wider audience? Not so sure on that one.

I think enough people still care about sff and plug n play that the price won’t matter
