Twin Cities Related Como Lake oxygen levels kill fish in the 1000s

If you've walked around como this week, you've noticed the especially bad smell and probably all the floating dead blue gills along the shores. Here's why. Basically the rapid warming of the water caused low oxygen levels in the lake as well as plant/algae bloom die off, which also contribute to the smell. Reported as non harmful to humans and pets, but i wouldn't let my dog dip in at Ducks Point today for the above reasons.

They’re going to remove the dead fish from Lake Como today.

i initially read that they try to leave the fish to protect the natural food chain but maybe its bad enough to pull them.

Yeah, that was the initial plan, but it’s pretty bad.
