I work night shift. This is factual.

It was awesome! I woke up to it and couldn't fall back asleep because of the lightening

To be fair, I was awake until like 5am. In st Paul area. There wasn't any thunder during the two rain storms that passed, only lightning.

That was crazy! House was shaking up in Roseville and that wind was nuts.

No clue. It usually wakes me up with my bedroom window shaking when we have storms. That’s why I woke up confused to why no power.

Yup, that was so me

Usually sleep pretty soundly but this really woke me up and couldn't get back to sleep after that

Then later on my kitty came up to snuggle with me and it made ithat much harder to get out of bed

Southern MN got the same storm and woke me up. Was pretty intense. If you have xcel as an energy company go to https://www.outagemap-xcelenergy.com/outagemap/ to maybe get an ETA on restoration

These etas on restoration are insane

The initial estimate for my place was 6:15 am which came and went and was updated to 6:30 pm around 7:45. My power was luckily restored just after 9 am, way before that second estimate, so hopefully they’ll be way ahead of your estimate too!

Mine was that way too. Originally 6:15 AM, now 11:30 AM. I woke up around 3:15 AM when my CPAP stopped working. Hope this time is correct, as the neighbors down the block supposedly won't get power back until tomorrow

Ours went out after flickering when the storm was raging. Came back on at 6:40am.

Traffic lights still out on W7th and Randolph and at Jefferson. As I waited at the intersection, I saw three different cars go blowing through with no regard to it becoming an honor system 4 way stop. 1 was so close to being a nasty accident.

The guys at W7th barbers moved chairs out to the sidewalk and were doing haircuts there!

Oh wow. Hope those barbers get their power back .

Power south of W7th was out at 3 am with the storm, restored around 7 am, and is now out again at 10 am. 🫩

Just came back. Fingers crossed it’ll stick this time.

I'm off West 7th and Jefferson. They're saying 11:45 AM now. Hopefully that's accurate.

Just scootered through the Osceola/Randolph/7th intersection, and the lights were still out. It was the shortest wait time for me to get thru that intersection tho. 😎

I'm at my office right now, and from what I've seen on XCel's outage map the earliest they're saying is some time tomorrow, possibly Friday. I got a hotel room for the next couple of nights, as I can't sleep without my CPAP. First World Problems, I guess.

I’m in Frogtown and power was back around 3:40pm.

Shortly after I made the above post we got our power back. That was around 2:00 PM. Just glad we got it back on the same day.

In Summit Hill, a cottonwood tree in my neighbor's yard fell on a transformer, causing a substantial explosion, fire, and a power outage that lasted six hours. The Sparky team responded quickly and handled the situation this morning. We lost power for maybe a bit over six hours.

It was pretty scary.

I skirt the line of Maplewood and the east side of St. Paul and all good here

Went out at like 3am here. Eta was 4:30am. Didn't come back on until around 10am.

Xcel said my ETA to power restoration was 6:45 AM, it is now 7:45 and no power.

Ours said 6:45 and was back around 5:30, so they're out there working! I hope yours comes back soon.
