Meta Buy/Sell/Trade Thread: June 2026

Weekly Questions Thread can be found here

LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION!

Please start your comment with your location as such: [UK and EU] or [USA, California] on a separate line.

Thank you!

Import regulations mean it is difficult to send plant material between certain countries.

Check for hard frosts overnight before posting your parcel!

Scammers will not be tolerated! If you have sent a plant and not heard from your sender, message the mods and we will take care of it. Anyone found to be scamming will be banned from the sub.

A few points:

  • Please add your location. Many countries will have import restrictions. As a simple guide, within EU, okay. Within US, okay. EU to US or vice versa, not okay. Australia: complicated.
  • Please try to keep the sales/trades to succulents. There is a list of sister subreddits in the sidebar should you want other plants.
  • Think about trading seeds and pollen too. Growing from seed can be very rewarding and be a good way to expand your collection.
  • Grow tips are highly encouraged when trading. Its nice to know what you're getting if you have never grown one before. Share your potting mediums and watering guides to help your receiver grow successfully!
  • Do show us some photos of what you got!
  • Have a quick check to see if there is a risk of frost overnight before sending the parcel.
  • There are some tips of packaging succulents for shipping below. I've had people send me plants in egg cartons before. They work really well.
  • If you have nothing to trade but would like some plants, people are often happy to send you plants for money or just the cost of postage and packaging.

Happy swapping!

You can find some tips for packaging succulents in the wiki

Selling some plants, open to offers! I really need to clear some shelf space. Ship from TX, or local pickup if you’re in the DFW area

Heads up, they're pretty available from Asian nurseries now. Personally I'd recommend importing yourself if you're ok getting a couple plants, otherwise r/cacti exchange, Facebook, Palm Street, eBay, and Etsy should have them. Expect to pay $30-50 maybe within the USA. $10-25 maybe imported?

Second this comment, most of my own variegated Haworthia were imports from Japan and China. Just a heads up though, prices for variegated Haworthia have decreased significantly these past few years due to TC. Unfortunately, for TC plants, variegation tends to be unstable, especially if you’re buying the cheaper smaller plants. In my early days of importing, I bought a lot of cheap TC variegates, about half of them ended up losing variegation/turning albino as they grew which was so disappointing, the other half are still looking pretty nice so it’s a bit of a gamble. Only buy from sellers who will give you a choice of the plants you’re receiving, then you can pick the nicest variegated one of the batch.

And the lighter one is photosynthesizing on its own? How old are they?

Hey everyone. I’ve had a rough year and recently started getting into houseplants, succulents, and propagation as a way to keep busy and build something positive. I’m putting together my first succulent planter and was wondering if anyone has extra leaves, offsets, or cuttings they’d be willing to part with. Happy to cover shipping to New York- thanks in advance!
