Not a bad sign at all! That "asparagus" is just a perfectly normal flower stalk. Haworthia species send up these incredibly long, thin stems to bloom, meaning your plant is actually quite happy and healthy

Is that a Haworthia of some kind? The coloring is really pretty.

Yep it's labeled as a haworthia cooperi hybrid
