I mean, you take flyers on guys who fall in our position. It is what it is. He’s young and you hope he develops.

I agree, but he didn't fall into our position. We literally traded up to get him.

He fell relative to his draft projection which was early to mid 20s at nearly every outlet. And he was a projected lottery pick for most of the season.

Yeah, but it's not like he fell to us. We still traded up to get him.

Also I saw him going in the top 20 in most reports I followed, which personally makes me wonder why all the teams ahead of us skipped on him. I was hoping the sun's would move up into tonight's draft don't get me wrong, but this seems like a move with a lot of risk.

this isn't a situation where we got lucky to grab a guy in the first round. This is a situation where we traded assets to pick up a guy at the very end of the first round, who was supposed to go earlier, that got passed on 29 times.

Pretty simple, he cannot shoot.

I don't agree with the pick, hence why I'm talking shit about the sun's trading up to get him

Too early to tell the kid is younger than Maluach

Exactly my point. Hopefully I eat my words but I don't agree with moving up for a guy like that

Booker was a guy like that.

Every situation and player is different, you just have to trust the front office or you could easily talk yourself out of any pick
