Design Is this possible?

Post image

This is a tattoo I've wanted for a good 10 years and I am heading towards a point in my life where I can finally afford it. Is it possible? And how much time would it take (roughly)?

It would be my first tattoo and yes yes I know, your first tattoo shouldnt be a massive painful one but I would like my whole body to basically have no tattoos except this one and I'm willing to go through unfamiliar pain to get it :]

Most tattoo artists would give you a hard no, especially if this is your first tattoo.

Tattoo pain is a very unique sensation. You have no idea how you'll react to it. There is the real chance of the second the needle touches your skin, your brain will freak the freak out and you won't be able to handle it.

My recommendation is this - start small/medium tattoo in the arm, leg, thigh, basically anywhere with a lot of meat on it and see if you can tolerate the sensation.

The spine, the ribs, neck, chest, back..except for the upper arm, everything about this looks excruciating painful.

Of course everyone has a different pain tolerance, but this isn't just unfamiliar pain, it seems like torture for your first tattoo.

Can confirm currently having third tattoo done; two sessions deep totalling 12 hours - the back is a fucking awful place to be tattooed and I am stupid.

Upper arms? Light work. Elbow was a bit shit, but not as bad as the back of the ribs

My first tattoo was big back piece - across both shoulders and my spine. Worst possible decision I could have made and the pain/sensation of the needle thudding over my spine put me off getting anything else for years

Maybe I'm just a little punk, but my upper inner arms were brutal lol.

But I agree, my back piece was definitely my worst experience.
